  • Patent number: 7237946
Abstract: The inventive IR camera is used to identify areas of a surface in which there is an increased risk of condensation, by imaging the surface determining, from humidity and temperature values, a condensation temperature at which there is a risk of condensation on the surface, comparing the temperature in at least one image point registered by the camera to the condensation temperature coloring any image points having a temperature lower than the condensation temperature in a particular color, or grey tone, selected to indicate an increased risk of condensation.

  • Publication number: 20060244837
Abstract: A thermal camera includes an antenna for providing wireless communication and elements for storing data received through the wireless communication elements in connection with an image recorded by the camera. The camera may also include a signal conversion unit for converting commands received through the antenna to a command format recognized by the camera. The antenna is arranged to communicate with a wireless user communication device, such as a headset including a microphone and/or a phonespeaker. The camera may further include alarm elements for determining dangerous situations and to warn an operator through the wireless interface. The thermal camera is particularly suitable for use in dangerous environments.

  • Patent number: 6187446
Abstract: A silicon-based carrier matrix having a high ratio of surface area to volume is intended for use in integrated microanalysis systems. The carrier matrix comprises at least one layer of microporous silicon on a body of monocrystalline silicon. A method for producing the carrier matrix comprises electrochemical etching of a body of monocrystalline silicon, thereby to form at least one layer of microporous silicon on this body. The use of the carrier matrix for chemical sensors in integrated microanalysis systems, as well as in various sorts of chromatography, is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5056357
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for measuring parameters and/or properties in a mobile medium, e.g. a liquid or a gas. If acoustic energy is transmitted into a mobile medium, a flow is initiated in the medium. This flow is measured providing information on the properties of the medium. If the medium contains bodies which reflect acoustic and/or optical signals, ultrasound or laser-Doppler is used for measuring the velocity of the bodies. The Doppler-shifted signal provides information on the viscosity of the medium and on the bodies in the medium.

  • Patent number: 4520670
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for generating short ultrasonic echo pulses by means of an ultrasonic transducer (2) utilizes a shift register (6) for storing a signal for excitation of said ultrasonic transducer. The stored signal is a weighted least squares filter signal to the transducer proper and is supplied to said transducer via a digital-to-analogue converter (7). Repeated adjustment of the stored signal can be effected by supplying, via an analogue-to-digital converter (11), the echo pulse signals from the ultrasonic transducer to a logic unit (12) for analysis.
