Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for the further processing of semi-finished sacks and a gluing station for semi-finished sacks. The invention has shown that particularly semi-finished sacks having more complicated shapes—such as tubular pieces comprising open bottom squares and in this case particularly tubular pieces comprising open bottom squares and valve patches inserted therein—tend to be subjected to a partial gluing process or even suffer damages during the process of glue application in the nozzle clearance. This problem is solved in that at least one feed element is provided, which is disposed upstream of the glue-application gap in the transport direction of the semi-finished sacks, and which together with the guide element defines a feed region of the semi-finished sacks to the application head, through which feed region, at least components of the semi-finished sacks can be guided, and which feed region tapers in the transport direction of the semi-finished sacks.
