    Abstract: A table hockey game has a playing surface, goals, and a plurality of toy hockey players. Two of the toy hockey players on each side are movable to and from positions behind their opponent's goal. The hockey players move along guides comprising vertically spaced parallel slots. Rotational and translational motion is imparted to toy players by actuator shafts, some of which are articulated by a universal joint. The actuator shafts are located at a plurality of levels beneath the playing surface.
