  • Patent number: 5839409
Abstract: A method for determining an additional injected quantity upon reactivation of an internal combustion engine by multiplying a load-dependent wall-film quantity by a correction factor. The correction factor is modulated up during the coasting deactivation time until reactivation with a first time constant. The correction factor is modulated back down during reactivation with a second time constant.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 6, 1997
Date of Patent: November 24, 1998
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Helmut Denz, Manfred Pfitz, Klaus Bottcher, Alfred Kloos
  • Patent number: 5775106
Abstract: A device for load determination in an internal combustion engine with a turbo engine is described, wherein the auxiliary load signal determined from the throttle flap angle and the rpm is subjected to a compression compensation, wherein this compression compensation is performed in different operational ranges of the internal combustion engine with a turbocharger in different ways, wherein factors are respectively defined which are multiplied by the uncorrected auxiliary load signal.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: July 7, 1998
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
    Inventors: Helmut Denz, Klaus Bottcher
  • Patent number: 5676112
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for controlling an internal combustion engine wherein a torque reducing control of the opening times of the inlet and outlet valves of the engine and/or a torque reducing control of the geometry of the inlet or outlet systems of the engine is undertaken in the case of a drive slip control.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: October 14, 1997
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Bernhard Bauer, Heinz Stutzenberger, Klaus Bottcher
  • Patent number: 5669357
Abstract: In a cylinder-selective injection system for an internal combustion engine, there are cylinder-selective injection suppressions. Subsequent to the suppressions, restoring added quantities specific to an individual cylinder are generated, whose initial value is dependent upon the number of suppressed injections for the cylinder in question, and whose notching-down to zero is dependent upon the number of injections of the cylinder that have taken place after completion of the suppression.
