  • Patent number: 7872479
Abstract: In a leak testing and leak localization arrangement for leak testing and localization for flat roofs or the like which are sealed by at least one electrically insulating sealing web (6), at least one voltage source (12) is applied between an upper side of the sealing web and below an underside of the sealing web. The upper side of the sealing web is sampled by means of a measuring device (9) provided with two measurement sensors (10, 11). In order to achieve reliable leak testing and precise leak localization with contact being made in an uncomplicated manner with the voltage source (12), web-shaped electrically conductive material is arranged on the underside of the sealing web (6) and is connected to one terminal of the voltage source (12). For this purpose, at least one metal grating web is provided as the web-shaped electrically conductive material, which web can be laid easily and is non-combustible and durable.

  • Publication number: 20090220316
Abstract: The object of the invention is a spreading plug which preferably comprises plastic and has a plurality of slots in the plug cover, between which slots spreading segments are formed which are spread outward against the wall of the drilled hole when a screw or another spreading element is screwed into the central insertion channel of the plug. In order to obtain a plurality of spreading regions which are distributed over the axial plug length, for the purpose of a more uniform spreading action, a plurality of slot arrangements are provided which are arranged offset with respect to one another both in the circumferential direction and in the axial direction. Preferably, a first slot which extends over the diameter of the plug is provided over a part length of the shaft and a further continuous slot is provided, offset in the circumferential direction by 90°, over the remaining part of the plug length as far as the plug base. Here, the two slot pairs overlap one another in the central region.

  • Publication number: 20070292912
Abstract: The invention relates to a diffusion-controlling sensor layer for detecting the biological effect of substances consisting of a diffusion-controlling matrix and sensors suspended therein. The invention further comprises a method and an apparatus for the location-dependent detection of the biological effect of substances using the sensor layer according to the invention (“imaging” of the spatial distribution of biological activity). A further embodiment of the method according to the invention relates to the coupling of investigations of the biological activity of substances with chromatographic and electrophoretic separation techniques so that biologically active individual substances can be identified directly in mixtures. An additional embodiment of the method according to the invention comprises the direct combination of the detection of the effect via sensor layers with chromatographic and electrophoretic separation techniques which are in turn coupled to spectroscopic techniques.

  • Patent number: 7125729
Abstract: In a method of opening of a housing of a plastic-housed electronic module by a laser, the electronic module is protected from the effects of the laser beam and the laser beam is stopped at a suitable time by providing an end point signal detection due to the laser beam impinging on a protective layer. Thereby, after opening the housing, electrical measurements can be carried out on the electronic module.

  • Publication number: 20050005748
Abstract: Method a method for the opening of a plastic-housed electronic module. Previously, the electronic module can be only inadequately protected during the opening of the plastic housing, so that the electronic module is damaged during the opening. According to the new method, during the opening of the housing by a laser, the electronic module is protected from the effects of the laser beam by means of an end point signal detection and a protective layer. Thereby, after the opening of the housing, electrical measurements can be carried out on the electronic module.

  • Patent number: 5300625
Abstract: Polyethers which contain recurring units of the formula I ##STR1## in which A is a divalent aryl or heteroaryl radical,X is O, S or NR,Z is a divalent aryl or heteroaryl radical or an alkynyl, azo or (CF.sub.2) group, andR is arylare synthesized. The polyethers can be used as thermoplastics for the production of injection-molded articles, extrudates, polymer blends and coatings and for the production of films and membranes from solution.

  • Patent number: 4125464
Abstract: Method and apparatus for the automatic multiple development of thin-layer chromatography plates. Instead of drying the plates by irradiation a laminar stream of inert gas is passed over the plate. Substances, which decompose at higher temperature, may be treated by chromatography, whereby reproducibility and sensitivity are higher and the productivity is increased.
