    Abstract: The invention relates to a pivoting pin (1) for use on scaffold vertical frames (6) as a connecting element for scaffold bars and braces extending in horizontal and/or vertical direction, having a sleeve-like support (2) that may be welded on the vertical frame (6), which support on its bottom has a slot (3) extending in longitudinal direction which is larger in width than a fall bar (5) fitted with a bearing in the interior of support (2) and pivoting around a horizontal axis, which fall bar protrudes downwardly from the slot (3) when in its vertical lock position and may be pivoted out of same solely towards the welded end of the support (2) in the interior thereof to reach its horizontal open position, the pivoting angle being confined to about 90°.

    Abstract: A scaffold, which is comprised of a plurality of vertical posts and horizontal locking bars crossing those vertical posts, has a plurality of joints at which flanges are arranged to provide connections between the vertical posts and horizontal locking bars. Each flange is rigidly connected to the respective vertical post and has a peripheral portion surrounding the vertical post. This peripheral portion receives a hook of the pawl rigidly connected to the end of the respective horizontal bar and provided with a wedge to ensure engagement of the hook with the peripheral portion of the flange. The thickness of the peripheral portion gradually increases in the upward direction.

    Abstract: An arrangement for connecting the ties to the uprights of a scaffolding includes a plurality of vertically elongated openings in the uprights, an end projection on a wedge-shaped end plate of the tie which has an enlarged end portion which is introduced into the interior of the upright through an enlargement of the opening while the stem of the projection is received in the opening when the enlarged end portion of the projection is received in the interior of the tubular upright, and a wedge element which is permanently mounted on the projection and interposed between the upright and the wedge-shaped end plate of the tie in the assembled position of the tie with the upright.
