    Abstract: A method and system are provided for transmitting user data to a terminal that has data service capability, is integrated in a communication network, and in which the user data are retrievably stored. Desired user data is obtained from a user-data information system likewise connected to the communication network. It is connected in a manner that, starting from the terminal, the desired user data are requested from the user-data information system via the communication network, and the desired user data are subsequently transmitted by way of a standardized data service via communication network to the terminal for retrievable storage.
