    Abstract: A single-phase stepper motor with a bipolar or multipolar permanent magnet rotor and a stator with two L-shaped stator parts. Each stator part is provided at one end with a pole shoe that has main poles and auxiliary poles. A bridge with windings connects the ends of thestator parts which do not have pole shoes. Magnetically saturable intermediate parts connect the stator parts at opposite sides of the pole shoes, whereby the stator parts and the intermediate parts form a single one-piece unit.
