  • Patent number: 9364801
Abstract: An apparatus for batched mixing of an additive component from individual components for mixture products containing the additive component and for temporarily storing the additive component, which is part of a mixer for forming the mixture products by mixing an additive component with a base component includes a single batch tank connected by at least a control valve and/or a proportioning valve to connections supplying the individual components for proportioned introduction of the individual components. The single batch tank is connected to a mixing and buffer tank arranged on a level below the single batch tank for temporary storage of the mixed additive component.

  • Patent number: 8968812
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a liquid mixed product from at least one liquid base component and at least one liquid additive, which is added to the base component in a metered manner, wherein the at least one liquid additive is metered into the base component depending on the amount of the mixed product removed from the mixing chamber (2.3).

  • Patent number: 5161456
Abstract: A device for mixing a fluid, for example, carbon dioxide, with a liquid, for example an aqueous beverage solution has a combining part in which one or more infusion chambers are formed within a cylinder by chamber closing plates carried on a common axially shiftable stem. The mixture is passed from chamber to chamber through diaphragm orifices in these plates and the liquid is injected through radial bores in the cylinder wall which can be controlled by collars formed on the edges of the plates. The gas is introduced into the upstream chamber through another radial port. Downstream of the combining part, the mixture flows through an in-line mixer having walls provided with turbulence inducing formations and one of which is movable with the stem.

  • Patent number: 4550029
Abstract: Continuous pressure boiling of beer wort is carried out in a multistage column having an upright inner wall enclosing a head region near the top of the column, a sump region near the bottom of the column and a wort compartment between the head and sump regions. The wort compartment includes a plurality of superposed, substantially horizontal plates. Each plate is provided with an overflow weir on its upper surface with an opening between the overflow weir and the wall of the column. Regenerative preheated wort is charged onto an upper plate and flows downward from one plate to another over the overflow weirs and through the openings. A heated gaseous medium introduced into the sump region raises through the openings and heats the downward flowing wort to boiling temperature to degas and free the wort from undesirable foreign substances. Vapors from the wort are condensed in the head region and discharged, and the processed wort is discharged from the sump region.

  • Patent number: 4376109
Abstract: Process and apparatus for disposal of noxious vapors emanating in brewery installations from treatment of wort and mash during the production of beer and for recovery of excess energy therefrom which includes passing the vapors emanating from the treatment of wort through a first condenser, passing the vapors emanating from the treatment of mash through a second condenser, and passing at least part of the exhaust emitted from the first condenser through the second condenser.

  • Patent number: 4324264
Abstract: In a bottle cleaning operation, bottles to be cleaned are introduced into a machine housing divided into a first housing and a separate second housing intercommunicating with one another through a bottle transfer section. Bottles are introduced into carrier compartments mounted on a first endless circulating chain in the first housing. After undergoing certain cleaning procedures in the first housing, the bottles are transferred into the second housing with the bottles passing in a free-falling manner from the first circulating chain. Within the second housing the cleaning operation is continued with the bottles held in carrier compartments on a second endless circulating chain. After being treated within the second housing, the bottles free-fall from the second circulating chain and return into the first housing for completing the cleaning operation before the bottles are discharged from the first housing.
