  • Patent number: 12351259
Abstract: A chassis of a utility motor vehicle has a double wishbone suspension having two independent wheel suspensions, each wheel suspensions has an upper control arm, a lower control arm, and a wheel carrier. The upper control arm is connected to two upper connection points on the vehicle body which define a first axis, the upper control arm being rotatable relative to the vehicle body about the first axis, and the lower control arm being connected to two lower connection points on the vehicle body which define a second axis, the lower control arm being rotatable with respect to the vehicle body about the second axis. The first and second axes are parallel to one another and inclined relative to a horizontal by an inclination angle that is greater than 0° in a forward direction of travel when the double wishbone suspension is installed in the utility motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10744833
Abstract: An independent wheel suspension includes a knuckle which is supported on a spring support connected to a vehicle body. The knuckle is connected to the spring support via a knuckle pin and is arranged so as to be mounted rotatably around a longitudinal axis A of the knuckle pin. The transverse control arms are mounted at the upper end and lower end, respectively, of the knuckle pin. The spring support is connected to the knuckle pin so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative to it so that the knuckle pin connects the spring support, the knuckle and the upper transverse control arm and lower transverse control arm together. The independent wheel suspension has a further safety component which prevents the knuckle pin from rotating in an uncontrolled manner around its longitudinal axis A.

  • Patent number: 8205896
Abstract: An independent wheel suspension with a rotating steering knuckle which supports itself on a spring carrier is connected with the vehicle frame via a damper. The steering knuckle is connected with the spring carrier via a kingpin, and the wheel suspension has upper and lower transverse links which are positioned at the upper or lower ends of the kingpin. The steering knuckle and the transverse links are pivotally positioned relative to the kingpin and the spring carrier is connected with the kingpin in a rotationally fixed manner. The kingpin connects the spring carrier, the steering knuckle, and the upper end lower transverse links and is a two-piece part which comprises upper and lower parts. Axially, radially and rotationally fixing the upper and the lower parts and the spring carrier is achieved by a combination of the upper and the lower parts with the spring carrier.

  • Patent number: 7934707
Abstract: A pneumatic spring has a pneumatic spring bellows (1) made as a hollow cylinder and a damper (19) can be arranged in the pneumatic spring in such manner that a gap (24) is created through which ambient air can reach the damper (19) and cool it.
