  • Patent number: 11702796
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for drying a pulp web, with dewatering of the pulp web by pressing and the pulp web being guided directly on the press belt to a first transfer area for transfer of the pulp web to a transfer clothing and transfer of the pulp web in a second transfer area to a dryer. It is characterized in that the pulp web undergoes thermal drying between the first transfer area and the second transfer area. This enables production of a pulp web with improved quality characteristics and low energy consumption at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20230030264
Abstract: A device and a method for producing a pulp web in which the first clothing and the second clothing are wrapped partly round the forming roll and another roll. The pulp web formed is guided between the forming roll and the other roll on the first clothing and the second clothing is guided separately from the first clothing, at least in one section. This enables the pulp web to be produced with low energy consumption and operating costs.

  • Patent number: 9856603
Abstract: A method for producing a fibrous pulp web, in which a fibrous pulp suspension is dewatered in a Twin Wire Former to form a fibrous pulp web which is dried with a TAD dryer. A pre-dewatering device with a hood and suction roll is provided after the Twin Wire Former and before the TAD dryer. The fibrous pulp web is guided through the pre-dewatering device between exactly two machine cloths. The machine cloth between suction roll and the web is a porous felt, and the machine cloth between web and hood is a structured wire. A volume flux of hot drying fluid greater than 100 m3/(m2·min), preferably greater than 250 m3/(m2·min,) is drawn through the fibrous pulp web into the suction roll.

  • Patent number: 8429832
Abstract: A process and a device for utilization of waste heat from a high-temperature hood in the dryer section of a paper machine. The waste heat from the high-temperature hood is applied to the waste steam and the condensate, respectively, from a steam system by means of a heat exchanger, thus improving utilization of the energy contained in the exhaust air from a high temperature hood.

  • Publication number: 20110035958
Abstract: A drying device for moving webs of material has at least two serial drying groups each having a plurality of heatable drying cylinders. The drying cylinders of at least one first drying group are steam-heated in a first heat circuit. The drying cylinders of at least one second drying group have supply piping for a combustible energy source and discharge piping for waste heat originating from the combustion. A first heat exchanger is provided that couples the first heat circuit for the steam-heated drying cylinders to the discharge piping for the waste heat from the drying cylinders of the second drying group.

  • Publication number: 20090308554
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for transferring a material web, particularly a web made of paper, board, tissue, or other pulp. In order to transfer the material web and, preferably, a supporting belt from a first supporting surface to a subsequent supporting surface, a pick-up box with a pick-up zone to lift the material web off the first supporting surface and a stabilizer box with a stabilizing zone to stabilize the material web are arranged before the subsequent supporting surface. Suction can be applied to the pick-up zone and the stabilizing zone by means of a vacuum source. A further zone to separate the vacuum in the pick-up zone from the vacuum in the stabilizing zone is located between the pick-up zone and the stabilizing zone. This invention also relates to a process for transferring a material web performed with the device according to the invention.

In order to transfer the material web and, preferably, a supporting belt from a first supporting surface to a subsequent supporting surface, a pick-up zone to lift the material web off the first supporting surface and a stabilizing zone to stabilize the material web are arranged before the subsequent supporting surface, where vacuum can be applied to the pick-up zone and the stabilizing zone from one vacuum source each. Here, the pick-up zone is sub-divided into at least two pick-up sub-zones across the material web running direction, where the vacuum can be switched on separately in at least one pick-up sub-zone. This invention also relates to a process for transferring a material web performed with the device according to the invention.

  • Publication number: 20040221480
Abstract: A device for drying a paper web has a drying drum mounted at least partially inside a housing, whereby the cylinder wall of the drying drum is provided with a large number of apertures or openings so that hot air can flow through the cylinder wall, a heating device to generate hot air, a feed device to apply the hot air to the paper web, and a device to carry off the air containing moisture. In order to permit a compact design, the housing surrounds at least one hood which partly encloses a cylinder wall of the drying drum with the heating device being located inside the hood.
