Abstract: The invention relates to a packaging unit (1) for a plurality of individual products (20) combined into a group (2), comprising a plastic bag which accommodates the group (2) of individual products (20) and at least one stiffening element (3, 4, 5) arranged in the plastic bag or around the plastic bag, wherein the at least one stiffening element (3, 4, 5) covers and/or accommodates at least one of the plurality of individual products at least in some sections and wherein the at least one stiffening element (3, 4, 5) is produced from a material having a higher stiffness than the plastic bag.

Abstract: A stacker for stacking products that are singly, consecutively conveyed to it contains numerous compartments, into each of which a single product is inserted, that are moved around a closed circuit. A stack of products is then ejected from several adjacent compartments. The compartment that is currently being loaded is opened such that the pair of walls forming the compartment are spread apart, in particular, are pivoted apart, which will alter the compartment that was loaded immediately prior to it such that the product contained therein will be straightened and compacted.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for packaging articles in bags is proposed, where a packaging magazine is used for receiving and guiding an article to be packaged. An article to be packaged is slid by a slider into the packaging magazine. The packaging magazine then moves together therewith into an opened bag, which is removed from a bag stack. With the bag, which surrounds the packaging magazine, the latter is then slid into the transfer magazine from where further conveying takes place.

Abstract: An apparatus for the supply of bags formed into stacks to a point where in each case the top bag of the stack is to be opened, contains two parallel conveyors, e.g. in the form of revolving chains, which are synchronously driven. The stacks are held together by two holding members. The holding members are so inserted with a widened foot in the holders of the conveyor that they can be slid out of the holders again through a stop member. These holders have a small mutual spacing, so that the stacks of bags can be juxtaposed on the apparatus with a small reciprocal spacing.
