  • Patent number: 4903644
Abstract: An elastic pipe piece, which is arranged between the air filter and a throttle housing in the air intake section, in proximity of both ends, has one bellows respectively pointing to the outside. The bellows compensate tolerances and have a vibration-disconnecting effect. Two pipe sockets are contructed integrally with the pipe piece, a crankcase ventilating system or an idling adjuster being connected to these pipe sockets. In addition, in proximity of an accommodating means, a clamping fork is constructed integrally with the pipe piece, which accommodates the idling adjuster and fixes it in position.

  • Patent number: 4832664
Abstract: A guide rail, and method of making same, for the guiding and/or tightening of chains that are used in internal-combustion engines, for example, for driving camshafts, auxiliaries or the like is disclosed. For reasons concerning weight and manufacturing, the guide rail consists of a plastic material and is formed by a slideway lining body and a carrier. Both the carrier and the slideway lining body are produced in a progressive manufacturing cycle and are interconnected via one or several dovetailed connections.

  • Patent number: 4741185
Abstract: To retain an accessory apparatus including a tape unit, such as a tape deck forming part of an automobile radio, in a vehicle, such as a car or a boat, a dummy cassette (17) is provided, having an externally visible lock (18) which operates a locking bolt (23) which, upon lock operation, deflects from an aligned position with the dummy cassette through a window in the accessory or tape deck housing and through a holding frame (11) or holding strap (30) secured in the vehicle. The windows (27, 27', 27") in the dummy cassette, the accessory apparatus including the tape deck and the frame or strap in the vehicle are in alignment so that the bolt can be passed therethrough, thus preventing removal of the accessory apparatus from the vehicle. Preferably, the lock is so placed that it is visible, so that it will be immediately apparent that the accessory apparatus is locked against removal.

  • Patent number: 4693216
Abstract: These crankshaft bearings consist of a light-metal alloy and are formed by a bearing section of a crankcase and a bearing cap. In order to avoid a bearing clearance causing noise, a core made of iron metal is poured at least into the bearing cap, said core, by means of a bearing area, directly surrounding the crankshaft journal of a crankshaft, and having lugs for bores connected by a transverse part. The bores are penetrated by the screws in order to fasten the bearing.

  • Patent number: 4625943
Abstract: A throttle valve for regulating the introduction of a fuel-air mixture into an internal-combustion engine is provided with a return spring system. The return spring system includes a first coiled spring, a second coiled spring, a hat-shaped bushing for separating the two spring coils and a lever, fixed in relation to a throttle valve housing, for simultaneously loading both spring coils to yieldably urge the throttle valve toward a normal position. The return spring system is positioned at one end of a shaft on which the throttle valve is mounted and operates to yieldably rotate the shaft in a selected direction to orient the throttle valve.

  • Patent number: 4583367
Abstract: An exhaust gas turbocharger is provided for an internal-combustion engine which is mounted on a bracket connecting the internal-combustion engine to a motor vehicle body. The bracket includes a device therein for defoaming and degasifying the lubricating oil medium leaving the exhaust gas turbocharger.
