    Abstract: A covering for an airbag module accommodated in the door lining and/or in the instrument panel of a vehicle. The covering has a main part of plastic comprising an airbag-attaching component and an airbag-covering component. The airbag-covering component can optionally be covered with expanded plastic. The module has a cover of real or imitation leather. There is at least one area in the form of a flap that can be ripped open in the vicinity of the airbag-covering component. The rip-open area is demarcated by a break-open line, constituted by a weakening of the material and by a hinging line. The covering is characterized by a groove-like outer depression along the break-open line that extends over the whole width of the covering and in that the cover is forced into the depression, doubling the material.

    Abstract: A continuous-casting plant having a mold-oscillating device is disclosed. In such plant one of a mold and a frame-like mold lift table bearing a mold is connected via connecting rods to eccentrics arranged on a shaft that is driven in rotation, with the stroke of the oscillation of said eccentrics being adjustable, the eccentrics being different eccentricities, and the connecting rods acting on defined points of attack of the mentioned one of the mold and lift table. At least two connecting rods are provided for each point of attack, with each connecting rod being connected to one eccentric. Each connecting rod of a point of attack is provided with a respective piston. The corresponding eccentrics of each point of attack which determine the stroke are connected in force-locked manner to the mentioned one of the mold and lift table via coupling means.

The drive element, at least one of which is provided, has a rotary plate inclined to the longitudinal axis at an adjustable angle about a swivel axis. On the side facing the direction of lift and outside the axis of rotation of the plate 20, one end of a rod is situated, the other end of the rod being situated in an element which supports the mold.

    Abstract: A safety steering wheel having an impact protector mounted on the hub of the steering wheel and which consists of a collapsed gas bag and a housing which contains a propellant for inflating the gas bag. The impact protector is covered by a cover hood, which is made of soft elastic plastic and reinforced by a reinforcing layer. In order to prevent a bulging of the cover hood by the forces which are exerted by the collapsed gas bag, a frame is provided, which is secured to the carrier for the housing which contains the propellant. The frame surrounds the housing and the gas bag and comprises at least one retaining member, which is integrally joined to the frame and attached to that edge of the frame which faces the driver's compartment. The retaining member when in a rest position extends in front of the collapsed gas bag and in the case of an impact is adapted to be bent up toward the driver's compartment along a straight line.

The deformable member deforms to cushion the blow to an operator upon impact by an operator during a collision.
