  • Patent number: 5078584
Abstract: A bladderless tire-curing press has upper and lower pressing disks cooperating with upper and lower bead rings. The pressing disks have circumferentially continuous outer surfaces engaging the beads and bounded inwardly by axial projections with conical centering surfaces which engage in recesses in the bead rings. The bead rings have projections engaging in grooves between the projections of the disks.

  • Patent number: 5017111
Abstract: A tire press for vulcanizing a tire includes two rotationally symmetrical vulcanizing tools which are situated inside the tire in the working position thereof and which have a tool diameter greater than the diameter of the tire. The tire press further includes an apparatus for introducing the tire into the tire press. The apparatus has a carrier; a moving and guiding mechanism for displacing the carrier parallel to the press axis and also in a plane perpendicular to the press axis between a tire-receiving position and a position at the vulcanizing tools; an auxiliary frame mounted on the carrier to be pivotal with respect thereto about an axis perpendicular to the press axis; and a tool mounted on the auxiliary frame for grasping one of the two tire beads.

  • Patent number: 4800059
Abstract: A loading process for a heated tire press is described herein in which a loader takes an unfinished tire from an unfinished tire stand and puts it between the tire forming pieces of the tire press. This loader travels with folded-in clamp jaws into the inside of the unfinished tire from below, engages it with extended clamp jaws inside of the upper bead from below, transports it in this position to the upper tire forming piece and raises it until its upper bead presses against the upper rim ring on the upper tire forming piece. The upper bead is held there by an auxiliary bellows, retaining fastener or the like. Subsequently the clamp jaws are folded in again and the loader retracted.

  • Patent number: 4698002
Abstract: A hydraulic heating and vulcanization press includes a lower tire mold which is supported by a press stand and cooperates with an upper tire mold to define a mold in which a raw tire is inserted for subsequent vulcanization. In order to keep the lower and upper mold in a precisely centrally aligned position to each other, a plurality of centering elements are interposed between the press stand and the lower tire mold so as to allow a radial movement between the lower mold and the press stand in order to maintain a centrally aligned arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4681521
Abstract: A feeding and positioning apparatus for a tire heating press includes a tire blank stand which is provided with a base disk movable in horizontal direction with respect to a platform. Connected to the base disk are a plurality of supports which carry the tire blank along its lateral edge. Extending within the exterior of the tire blank is an upright sleeve extending concentrically to the platform. The sleeve is movable in vertical direction and cooperates with a plurality of clamping jaws which thus are moved against the bead of the tire blank to center the latter.

  • Patent number: 4631014
Abstract: A time curing press includes an upper mold part which is movably arranged by means of long-stroke cylinders relative to a lower mold part. Extending at a central area of the upper mold part and connected thereto is a vertical guide bar which is supported in a headpiece of the frame of the press. The guide bar is provided with a vertically adjustable not which is engaged by clamp jaws to lock the mold, i.e. the upper mold part with the lower mold part in the closed position of the press.
