  • Patent number: 10370164
Abstract: A composite film for closing a container by sealing the composite film against a circumferential sealing surface of the container or of a cap ring to be connected to the container has a support layer made of a metal film and a sealing layer connected to the metal film. The sealing layer comprises a coextruded layer with a cohesively breaking intermediate layer and adhesion promoter layers arranged on both sides of the intermediate layer. The composite film is suitable for tight sealing against sealing surfaces made of polished tinplate.

  • Patent number: 7338199
Abstract: An apparatus for mixing of liquid substances or distribution of solid substances in liquid substances in a plurality of sample containers arranged in a microplate (7) is supported on a horizontally displaceable support plate (2). A motor (3) that is provided with an unbalance is held via its stator (3A) above a base (1) directly on the underside of the support plate (2), the rotational axis (D) of the rotor (3B) being disposed perpendicular to the support plate (2).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 1, 2007
Date of Patent: March 4, 2008

  • Patent number: 6727499
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for detecting compounds in a gas stream, the gas stream with the compounds to be detected is conducted into an ionization chamber of a mass spectrometer where the gas stream is subjected in the ion chamber in a pulsed manner alternately to UV laser pulses and to vacuum ultraviolet VUV laser pulses and the ions generated thereby are directed into the mass spectrometer for detection therein to determine the compounds in the gas stream.

  • Patent number: 4899996
Abstract: This invention relates to a hydraulically damping elastic bearing, in particular engine mounts for motor vehicles, with two fastening devices opposite one another, an elastomer resilient body between them, and a controllable electromagnet located on one fastening device, consisting of coil and armature, with which a magnetically active element can interact to change the suspension characteristic of the elastic bearing. To achieve a variable, dynamic damping by way of an electrical control, with simultaneous hydraulic action, the interior of the elastic bearing is divided into two chambers filled with damping fluid. The chambers are connected with one another by means of at least one throttle, whereby the coil and the axially movable armature of the electromagnet are designed partly as the partition between the chambers.

  • Patent number: 4550989
Abstract: Rimless spectacles have the lenses which are not held by screws. The nose-bridge and the end-pieces of the temples consist of hook-like clamps that hold and touch the lenses for a short length from the front and/or the back side. These clamps together with a tight-thread or band going all the way around the lenses hold the lenses to the nose-bridge and end-pieces.
