  • Publication number: 20130172165
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing packaging bags (1, 1?) having a triangular outline, made of a film strip having two longitudinal edges (3, 4) located opposite of each other. The film strip (2) is wound about a shaping mandrel forming a film spiral (5). The film spiral (5) is pulled off the shaping mandrel so far that a first seam section (7) formed by the longitudinal edges (3, 4) and extending in the circumferential direction about 180° around the film spiral (5) and a first film section opposite of the first seam section (7) are exposed and sealed there. The film spiral (5) is further pulled off the shaping mandrel so far that a second seam section (10) abutting the first seam section (7) and a second film section (11) located opposite of the second seam section (10) are exposed and also sealed.

  • Patent number: 6422987
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for producing recloseable bags (10). The recloseable opening (32) of the bags is surrounded by mutually opposite halves (20, 22) of a recloseable strip, these halves being firmly welded to mutually opposite bag walls (12, 14) and, at the ends, being welded to the two lateral longitudinal sealed seams (16) of the bag (10). The apparatus is characterized, on the one hand, by at least one inner sealing jaw (72) between the two bag walls (12, 14) in the crossover region of the longitudinal sealed seam (16) and recloseable strip (18), and, on the other hand, by at least one counter-jaw (82, 84) on the outside of a bag wall (12, 14). The counter-jaw is located opposite the inner sealing jaw (72) such that, between the inner sealing jaw (72) and the counter-jaw (82, 84), it is possible to position a bag wall (12, 14) by way of its crossover region and to press flat the relevant half (20, 22) of the recloseable strip (18) and weld the same to the bag wall (12, 14).

  • Publication number: 20020022177
Abstract: A process for producing a battery (10) containing electrochemical cells is distinguished by the fact that an electrically non-conductive track (30) or a similar coating is applied to the respective free edge region (26) of the two housing parts (12.1, 12. 2) between which the anode and cathode lugs (18) are guided out of the battery housing (12), in such away that it (30) is present at least in the regions of the lugs (18), and that it project beyond the free edge (20) of the housing part (12.1, 12.2) to which it is attached and/or engages around this free edge.

  • Patent number: 4120235
Abstract: Apparatus for transversely sealing a wrapping tube includes opposed sealing tools movable in unison linearly along an operating path having a beginning and an end while sealing a wrapping tube. The tools return from the end of the operating path to the beginning thereof by moving along arcuate return paths. Crank mechanisms for so moving the tools include cam tracks and cooperating cam followers. The cam followers are urged against the cam tracks under the influence of centrifugal force during movement of the tools along the return paths.

  • Patent number: 3982991
Abstract: Device for welding and parting thermoplastic foils to form bags or the like, having a pair of heated opposing tools arranged to close against foils introduced between them. The foils are welded and parted along a compression line formed between a compression edge of one tool and a hard, wear-resistant, but resilient surface of the opposing tool.
