  • Patent number: 8641141
Abstract: A vehicle seat (1), in particular commercial vehicle seat, is provided with a framework, in particular scissors-type framework (3), a seat frame (10) which is articulated thereon via a pivot axis (B), and a backrest (20) which is attached to the seat frame (10) and by means of which a torque acts about the pivot axis (B) on the seat frame (10) in the event of a crash or misuse. The framework (3) has a first catch element (31) and the seat frame (10) has a second catch element (32) which normally do not interact. In the event of a crash or misuse, the catch elements approach each other and then interact creating a further path for the force flux.

  • Patent number: 7497517
Abstract: Vehicle seat, in particular a motor vehicle seat, with a seat part (3) that is linked to a support via a cushion-four-joint (42), a backrest that can be tilted and locked by at least one fitting and which is linked to the cushion-four-joint (42) through a link-four-joint (48), in which a linking member (41) is a common component of both four-joints (42, 48), wherein the vehicle seat at a minimum can be converted from at least one in-use position that is suited for passenger transport, to a folded together, not-in-use position, and between the seat part (3) and the support an additional securing device with leeway (53) is provided in the in-use position, wherein the leeway (53) defines the mobility of the cushion-four-joint (42) in the case of a crash and during a forward tilt adjustment of the backrest.

  • Publication number: 20060186721
Abstract: A reclinable vehicle seat, which is freely adjustable between an upright sitting position and a reclined resting position, has a backrest with an adjustable inclination, a seat cushion with adjustable sitting depth and a lower leg rest. In order to obtain a support which is as comfortable as possible and a compact design, the inclination of the seat cushion is adjustable by an inclination adjuster, and the seat cushion has a continuous seat upholstered element which upholsters the seat cushion and the lower leg rest.

  • Publication number: 20050173948
Abstract: A vehicle seat includes a lower leg support fastened pivotably to a seat cushion. The lower leg support may be moved in an infinitely variable manner between a stowaway position and a position of use and may be fixed in a freely selectable position. To provide reliability against incorrect operation, the lower leg support includes an overload safeguard which releases the fixation of the lower leg support in the event of overload, thereby allowing it to give way.

  • Publication number: 20050173963
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle seat (1) having an automatically displaceable lower leg support (3). The lower leg support can be displaced in an automatically driven fashion between a stowaway position and a position of use. In order to obtain a compact design of the vehicle seat and a high degree of protection against impact operation, the lower leg support (3) has a sensor (6, 61, 62) which is connected to a control device (52) of the drive (5). The sensor (6) is designed to detect an obstacle.
