  • Publication number: 20080237240
Abstract: A container for cryogenic fuels assembled from a plurality of identical straight and closed profiles which are arranged in different configuration from one another and are straight hollow profiles which are arranged parallel to one another and of which at least one outer boundary wall maintains a functional distance from an outer boundary wall of an adjacent profile and to the open ends of which a common cap as a common connection space of the profiles is in each case contiguous on both sides.

  • Patent number: 6908144
Abstract: Fastening element for a trim panel in the interior of a motor vehicle, said fastening element being fastened between a structural part (1) of the motor vehicle and the trim panel in such a manner that the trim panel can be removed, and foam being provided between the trim panel and structural part. In order, with reduced costs for manufacturing and logistics, to be able to absorb a large amount of work of deformation and to be exchangeable, the fastening element (5) itself is a body which consists of light metal foam, in which at least one insert (8) is integrated, said insert being exposed on the side which faces the trim panel (15), and wherein the trim panel is fastened releasably to the exposed part (9) formed in this manner.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 7, 2002
Date of Patent: June 21, 2005
Assignee: Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik AG & Co. KG

  • Patent number: 6767650
Abstract: A lightweight support for a bumper is formed by an extruded profile with a plurality of chambers. In order to provide a profile which, along with an extremely low weight, meets all the static requirements, is easy to bend and is suited to the properties of a light-metal alloy, the profile (1) comprises four walls (2, 3, 5, 6), which preferably form an isosceles trapezoid, and two webs (7, 8), which are arranged in the interior of the profile, parallel to the side walls (5, 6) and likewise symmetrically. The side walls (5, 6) of the support (1) have stiffening ribs (25) which are produced in the same operation as the support (1) is bent. A description is given of the associated process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 9, 2002
Date of Patent: July 27, 2004

  • Patent number: 6543839
Abstract: The door of a motor vehicle includes a body and an internal support system. In order to be stiff, light and inexpensive, the support system (8) consists of a double-sided highly rigid body in the form of a plate which is fixed to the inside of the body (1) of the door, and the inside (10) and outside (11) walls of the support system are made of fiber-reinforced plastic, whereby the ribs (30, 42) that run in a longitudinal direction in between them form spaces (31, 32). At least one of said spaces contains a compression-proof filling and the inside (10) and outside (11) walls are connected to each other along their contour (12, 14, 15). Accommodations (20) to receive fasteners are integrated therein to allow the support system (8) to be connected to the sheet-metal shell module (1).
