  • Publication number: 20040243837
Abstract: A process and communication equipment is provided for secured e-mail using security associations between mail domains of the Internet. E-mail passes though at least one device having a list of security associations. The sending domain equipment verifies the name of the destination domain of each e-mail received from its mail server based on a list of existing security associations. If there is no security association, the e-mail receives an identifier and is transferred to the receiver. If there is no identical communication equipment at the receiver, the e-mail is transferred in transparent state. If there is identical communication equipment at the receiver side, the e-mail is verified by the receiving equipment for an identifier and transferred to the receiver. If there is an entry in the security association list, the e-mail is transmitted in a secured state using the security parameters of the destination domain.

  • Patent number: 6181709
Abstract: A process and device in which (a) data transmission is done so that coded data specific to ISDN is converted into binary code on both a network side and a receiver side using a code converter, (b) the entering data of B channels being prepared in segments of equal length for B1 and B2 channel data in a memory unit and subsequently fed to a transmission device and sent to the receiver side. The data leaving a storage device are checked for consistency and compressed; (c) blocks are formed out of entering data of the D channel blocks and fed into the transmission device for transmission to the receiver side; (d) the ISDN-specific clock pulses are regained out of the temporal sequence of the transferred data bits on the receiver side or net side, respectively, by meant of clock pulse recovery elements; and (e) the received data bits are analyzed.

  • Patent number: 5673258
Abstract: One, or more, ISDN interfaces have their reach extended without violating ISDN interface standards by a method which converts ISDN coded information which is to be delivered over an extended channel into binary coded data prior to transmission, transmitting the binary coded information to a receiver at an extended location and there, after storage, and assembly, converting the binary coded data into ISDN specific coded data for delivery to an ISDN interface.

  • Patent number: 4676493
Abstract: A sliding roof panel and seal assembly has a wedge-shaped, outwardly sloping plastic trim strip secured to its outer edge by injection molding. Subsequently, a seal is cemented to this peripheral trim strip from below. Relative movement between the trim strip and the seal allows for the accommodation of production tolerance variations between the seal and a vehicle body sealing surface that defines an opening in the vehicle body, an opening that is closed by the assembly of the invention.

  • Patent number: 4640450
Abstract: In a roof-mounted luggage carrier which is to be attached to a flange of a channel disposed on the lateral portion of a vehicle roof, the support leg and the clamps are covered, as is known in the art, by a protective cap to prevent dirt and water from entering into the channel, with the lower edge of said cap being disposed in close proximity of the surface of the roof and being provided with a sealing which is adapted to bear upon the roof panel and/or the molding.

  • Patent number: 4524435
Abstract: A method of monitoring underground processes in which changes of material properties of underground strata occur in a limited area, especially in regard to in-situ combustions, gasifications in coal and petroleum deposits, in order to localize and determine the degree of change of material properties of underground strata, includes emitting exactly reproducible time-sequential seismic signals in each geological strata where changes are expected to take place. The signals are recorded in the appropriate geological stratum at one or more positions, or in the same position. The signals are stacked with signals of reverse sign. The magnitude of the difference signals obtained and their propagation time are determined.

  • Patent number: 4275787
Abstract: A method for determining the location of a combustion front during subsurface combustion and gasification in a coal seam and of a change of electrical properties of the coal includes emitting radar signals from an elongated antenna. The antenna is located in a borehole within the coal seam. The radar signals are received and recorded for a determination of their travel time and amplitude.

  • Patent number: 4240070
Abstract: The apparatus and method provides for an improvement to a system which converts wide amplitude range digital data recorded in floating point digital word form to analog signals within a limited amplitude range. The apparatus and method provides for the situation wherein the digital data can represent an analog signal for which on a general decrease in amplitude increases may be superimposed. The apparatus includes a digital/analog converter whose reference voltage is individually determined for each sample. This reference voltage is taken from a saw tooth oscillator at an instant of time determined by a delay timer which responds to changes, with respect to a desired average amplitude, of the actual amplitude of the converted data.
