  • Patent number: 5407425
Abstract: In a closed system for collecting and retransfusing autologous blood having a collecting vessel (4) to receive the blood and an anticoagulant fluid, as well as a retransfusion line (14, 14') containing a microfilter, through which at least a portion of the blood collected in the collecting vessel (4) is retransfused, the inlet for the anticoagulant fluid is provided, preferably between the collecting vessel (4) in which a negative pressure can be maintained and a drain (2) or the open end of a drain tube. The collecting vessel (4) is connected with a collecting and separating container (13, 13') by means of a tube line (10, 10'), to which a tube pump (11) can be applied. The retransfusion line (14, 14') for the erythrocyte concentrate deposited in the collecting and separating container (13, 13') is connected to the outlet thereof.

  • Patent number: 5283035
Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for recovering a sterilizing gas, in particular ethylene oxide (ETO), materials to be sterilized are sterilized in a sterilizing chamber with a sterilizing gas and a gas flow is withdrawn from the sterilizing chamber. At least part of the sterilizing gas contained in said gas flow is liquefied and separated. The gas flow freed from liquefied sterilizing gas is returned to the sterilizing chamber whilst at the same time at least a part of the separated sterilizing gas is replaced by addition of inert-rendering gas, reducing the concentration of the sterilizing gas in the sterilizing chamber.

  • Patent number: 5231772
Abstract: A solvent recovery apparatus, in particular, for manufacturing apparatus of web-like materials, preferably sound tapes and video tapes, is equipped with a heat exchanger which returns a preferably larger portion of a gas prepurified of solvents downstream of a solvent separator via a line and heats it against the flow of the solvent-charged gas from the drier in order to return the preheated larger portion into the drier; a preferably smaller portion of the prepurified gas is freed from remaining solvent residues downstream of the solvent separator in a cryogenic apparatus, supplemented with a thereby vaporized part of inert gas in order to subsequently be supplied to transfer chambers of the drier to produce there a positive gas flow directed both into the drier and to the outside. The proposed method can be carried out on the apparatus describe.

  • Patent number: 5214924
Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for avoiding or reducing trouble-induced time delays in solvent recovery from production processes, apart from the solvent circuit and apart from the supplying of the locks with carrier gas, when necessary via at least one separate supply conduit a metered amount of pure carrier gas is supplied to the production plant and at the same time via at least one separate discharge conduit a substantially corresponding amount of mixture of carrier gas and solvent is withdrawn.

  • Patent number: 5083440
Abstract: A solvent condenser arrangement for a solvent recovery apparatus comprises at least two solvent condensers of which one is in operation at a time, while the other is defrosted; the at least two solvent condensers are supplied via a pump from a refrigerant container under vaporization pressure.

  • Patent number: 4057713
Abstract: A counter device is described for counting workpieces produced by stamping or blanking on a power press of the type having a ram powered by a flywheel through a clutch and crankshaft with the flywheel being powered by an electric motor. The counter is arranged to count only workpieces actually produced and operates by detecting cyclic enegy losses of the flywheel during the actual production of a workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4024042
Abstract: The invention relates to an enzyme electrode which can be sterilized and regenerated and which has a sensitive surface and an enzyme in contact therewith. A semipermeable membrane is arranged at a distance from the sensitive surface of the detecting electrode and defines a chamber containing the enzyme which is supplied to and discharged from the chamber through a supply conduit and a discharge conduit, respectively. A sterilization device for the enzyme is arranged in the supply conduit for the enzyme. The enzyme electrode is produced by means of the detecting electrode being sterilized in a manner known per se and by means of the enzyme being led into a chamber via a sterilization device through a supply conduit for contact with the sensitive surface of the detecting electrode and for contact with the semipermeable membrane arranged at a distance from said sensitive surface.

  • Patent number: 3951271
Abstract: A control means for a robot transfer device in which there are provided control heads including positional sensing devices connected so as to sense the movement of the robot device in each plane, or direction, and coded signal generating means providing a direct readout giving an indication of the exact position of the workpiece at the end of the robot device. In addition, such control heads are connected to suitable electronic memory and control circuits whereby a variety of different predetermined positions can be programmed into the memory, and the various different necessary movements to be performed by the robot device can thus be carried out in sequence, and to a greater degree of accuracy, than in the past. In addition, the invention provides a simple manual programming system for programming the memory circuits with the necessary information concerning the desired predetermined positions of the device.
