  • Publication number: 20120262177
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to a balanced-to-unbalanced transformer for converting a symmetrical high-frequency signal into an asymmetrical high-frequency signal. The balanced-to-unbalanced transformer includes two coil windings made of wire. The two coil windings are electrically insulated from each other and are wound on a winding form. Each of the two coil windings has an input at one end of the winding form for the symmetrical high-frequency signal and an output at another end of the winding form for the asymmetrical high-frequency signal. The two coil windings lie on top of one another in a radial direction of the winding form.

  • Publication number: 20120224647
Abstract: A method for controlling a signal with a plurality of independent components is provided. The signal is fed as an input signal via an input path to a control path that supplies an output signal. The output signal is fed via an output path to a control apparatus controlling the input signal. A coupling signal is determined in a coupling determination apparatus. On the basis of the coupling signal, the independent components are decoupled in a decoupling apparatus, as a result of which, a decoupled output signal is generated. Components of the decoupled output signal are decoupled from the components of the input signal. The decoupled output signal is fed as a control variable to the control apparatus. The control apparatus controls each independent component separately on the basis of a desired signal with a diagonal controller and outputs the input signal as a manipulated variable.

  • Patent number: 8217663
Abstract: A method determines the layer thickness of a TBC coating of at least one blade of a non-positive-displacement machine. To this end, at least one electromagnetic wave is emitted to the surface of the at least one blade, the at least one electromagnetic wave is then at least partially reflected by the at least one blade, and the reflected portion of the at least one electromagnetic wave is received and subsequently processed. In addition, the at least one electromagnetic wave is emitted with a frequency matched to the layer thickness of the TBC coating, and the phase of the at least one electromagnetic wave is compared with the phase of the at least one received electromagnetic wave. The at least one emitted electromagnetic wave undergoes a phase change during reflection and the layer thickness of the TBC coating is determined by the phase comparison.

  • Patent number: 7921291
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a communication system for releasing a data processing unit used for processing project data of a selected project. In order to obtain project-related release of a data processing unit (90), a client requests a user right for the data processing unit (90) used for processing the project data that is part of a predetermined project. A first signature (I) is verified as to the correctness thereof. The data processing unit (90) is released to process the project data that is part of the selected project only if the verification process has established that the first signature (I) is correct.

  • Patent number: 7778414
Abstract: The present invention relates to an asymmetrical encryption method. The public key is made up of a large composite number n; the private key is made up of the factors of the composite number. The encryption is made up of a number of iterations of individual encryption steps that are successively reversed during the decryption. In this context, the reversal of an individual encryption step requires the solving of a quadratic equation modulo m [sic]. The private key is preferably made up of the large prime numbers p and q. The public key is the product n of these two prime numbers, as well as a comparatively small integer L which is greater than one. The message m is made up of two integral values m1 and m2, thus m=(m1, m2), both values being in the set Zn={0, 1, 2, . . . , n?1}. The encryption is accomplished via the equation c=fL(m).

  • Patent number: 7672649
Abstract: A controller for an RF amplifier, in particular for a RF amplifier of an MR tomography apparatus, has an IQ control element for adjusting the magnitude and phase an RF signal that is be fed to the RF amplifier. The IQ control element has a signal splitter that splits the RF signal into two partial signals having a 90° phase offset in an I path and a Q path, each having a multiplier for multiplying the partial signal by an I factor in the I path and a Q factor in the Q path. A summing unit recombines the partial signals. A detector determines the actual phase difference and actual amplification between the RF signal fed to the IQ control element and the RF signal amplified by the RF amplifier. An IQ controller determines the I factor and the Q factor from the actual difference and a desired phase difference and the actual amplifier and a desired amplification.
