    Abstract: A pressure system for a transmission, especially for an auxiliary gearbox for driving auxiliary devices in aircraft, according to which atmospheric air is conveyed into the transmission by a pump which draws in the air through an inlet pressure chamber and a check valve until a sufficient pressure has been obtained in the transmission. When the pressure in the transmission surpasses that desired, the excess air is returned to the inlet pressure chamber.
