Patent number: 7330313Abstract: A telescope has at least one barrel. At least three optical elements, namely an objective lens, an inverting system, and an eyepiece are arranged within the barrel along a longitudinal axis thereof one behind another. Further, shaking movements of the barrel are compensated for by moving at least one of the optical elements relative to the barrel. The objective lens is rigidly connected to the barrel. The inverting system together with the eyepiece constitutes a common assembly. At least a part of the assembly is adapted to be moved relative to the longitudinal axis. As an alternative, the inverting system and the eyepiece are rigidly connected to the barrel and at least a part of the objective lens is adapted to be moved relative to the longitudinal axis.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2006Date of Patent: February 12, 2008Assignee: Hensoldt AGInventors: Oliver Baumann, Klaus Felgenhauer, Stefan Gerth, Klaus Knupfer, Walter J. Patent number: 6530267Abstract: The invention is directed to a scanning system having one or several deflectable probe tips which are excited to oscillation at or near their resonant frequency. A saturation amplifier (16) is provided for detecting and measuring the phase shift between the excitation signal and the oscillation carried out by the probe tip. The saturation amplifier (16) generates a rectangular signal from the incoming sinusoidally-shaped signal (3e) while exactly maintaining the time-dependent position of the zero crossovers of the signal. The detection system, which is required for each probe tip, thereby acquires a very simple configuration of few commercially available components. Saturation amplified rectangular signals exclusively form the basis for the further evaluation. For this reason, a substantial independence of the signal intensity of the oscillation signal is ensured.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2001Date of Patent: March 11, 2003Assignee: Carl-Zeiss-StiftungInventor: Klaus Knupfer

Patent number: 6396587Abstract: An apparatus records the depth profiles in a specimen with a reference beam and with a device for spatially superposing the measuring beam reflected from the specimen with the reference beam. The reference beam is coherent to the measuring beam in respect to a reference point of time. An evaluation unit having a detector is assigned to this device. The reference beam (9) and the measuring beam (7) for an areal irradiation of a sensor surface (29) are arranged at a spacing (35) from each other. The sensor surface (29) is assigned to the detector (25) and the surface irradiation overlaps at least in a subregion (27).Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2000Date of Patent: May 28, 2002Assignee: Carl-Zeiss-StiftungInventors: Klaus Knupfer, Christoph Hauger

Patent number: 5486858Abstract: A method and a circuit are disclosed for a low-noise processing of weak optical signals using normal photodiodes and a CCD-array. A shift register and collecting register effect the synchronous phase-correct accumulation over for example 100 periods and so transmit a signal amplified by this factor to a downstream circuit at a clock frequency reduced by the same factor. The invention is applicable for conducting optoelectronic run-time distance measurements.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 1992Date of Patent: January 23, 1996Assignee: Carl-Zeiss-StiftungInventor: Klaus Knupfer

Patent number: 5239178Abstract: A device is described for three-dimensional examination with a confocal beam path, in which an illumination grid (12; 22; 31; 83) is imaged in a focal plane (13f; 87), said plane being located on or in the vicinity of surface (14o) of object (14). The radiation reflected in the focal plane is imaged directly by a beam splitter onto the receiving surface of a CCD receiver (17; 91). The illumination grid (12; 22; 31; 83) is then imaged on the receiver surface either by the photosensitive areas of the receiver acting as confocal diaphragms or by signals from the detector elements which only receive light scattered outside focal plane (13f; 87) not being taken into account in the evaluation or being taken into account separately. The illumination grid size generated in focal plane (13f; 87) can be either fixed or variable. A variable illumination grid size can be produced for example by an LED array. The device also makes examinations in transmitted light possible.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 1991Date of Patent: August 24, 1993Assignee: Carl ZeissInventors: Eberhard Derndinger, Rudolf E. Grosskopf, Klaus Knupfer
