Patent number: 8615930Abstract: The lifting device comprises abiased slide shoe adapted to be slidable with respect to a member of an openable structure, a lifting arm having two ends, one end adapted to be pivotally connected with a member of the structure and the other end associated with said slide shoe, and a braking device comprising at least one brake shoe slidable on a respective brake face of said lifting device, said braking device modulating the force resulting from the bias on said biased slide shoe. An adjusting device is adapted to adjust said progressive modulation of said force resulting from the bias on said biased slide shoe, and comprises a manipulation member, which when manipulated by a user activates said adjusting device to adjust a brake force of said brake shoe exerted on said brake face in a given position of said brake shoe.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2009Date of Patent: December 31, 2013Assignee: VKR Holding A/SInventors: Jesper Ryberg, Klaus Kornerup, Niels Henrik Toft-Jensen

Patent number: 7886493Abstract: A stop member for an operator chain in a chain operator, wherein the operator chain has a width, rivet holes and rivets, constitutes a pin arranged in a rivet hole not occupied by a rivet in the operator chain, wherein the pin has a length exceeding the width of the operator chain. The pin can be cylindrical with a diameter corresponding essentially to that of the rivet hole, and the diameter of the pin can be slightly smaller than that of the rivet hole, so as to be loosely held in the rivet hole.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2008Date of Patent: February 15, 2011Assignee: VKR Holding A/SInventors: Thomas Friis Jorgensen, Klaus Kornerup

Patent number: 6578326Abstract: A window, in particular for mounting in an inclined roof surface, comprising a frame structure and a relative thereto openable sash structure with an insulating pane (6), the frame and the sash structures comprising top, bottom and side members (21-24) in the form of solid profiles which are for the major part made from a thermally well insulating material. For providing a good heat-transmission from the interior side of the sash structure to border areas of the insulating pane a passive heat bridge has been established at least in the areas (30, 31) around the corners of the sash bottom member (21) and the adjacent side members (24), said heat bridge being of a well heat-conducting material and established in connection with or through said bottom and side members (23, 24) of the sash structure.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1999Date of Patent: June 17, 2003Assignee: VKR Holding A/SInventors: Erik Bjørn Dyrby, Klaus Kornerup

Patent number: 5689916Abstract: A window, particularly for installation in an inclined roof surface, comprising a main frame and a frame hinged to the top thereof as well as a frame lifting arm inserted between the main frame and the frame, the arm having one end pivotally connected with a lateral member of the main frame or the frame and its other end pivotally connected with a slide shoe which in a longitudinally displaceable manner is connected with the corresponding lateral member of the main frame or the frame, respectively. The slide shoe is associated with a pre-stressed lifting spring, as a first coupling first coupling member on the slide shoe is adapted to engage with a second coupling member connected with the lifting spring when installing the window.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1996Date of Patent: November 25, 1997Assignee: V, Kann Rasmussen Industri A/SInventors: Jan Fahlen Jensen, Klaus Kornerup

Patent number: 5070649Abstract: A window, particularly designed to be installed in an inclined roof, comprises a top-hinged sash which via a lifting arm is connected with a slide shoe displaceable along a guidance of a lateral frame member. An intermediate member is provided with a transverse pin adapted to be connected with a pocket in the top side of the slide shoe, and the intermediate member is loaded or biased in a direction towards the lower end of the guidance by means of a spring. A spacer serves to hold the intermediate member ready for engagement. When the window has been installed in the roof, the appropriate pocket to be engaged by the transverse pin is selected with due regard to the roof inclination, i.e. the pocket resulting in a desired opening force acting on the sash, which is then swung open until the transverse pin engages the selected pocket, whereupon the sash is swung slightly in its closing direction to release the spacer for removal.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 1990Date of Patent: December 10, 1991Assignee: V. Kann Rasmussen Industri A/SInventors: Klaus Kornerup, Lena Nygaard

Patent number: 4429494Abstract: In a window, especially for installation in an inclined roof, a secondary frame element or sash is connected with the stationary main frame of the window in a top hinge and is urged in its opening direction by a lifting lever hinged at its one end through a pivot pin to a side member of the secondary frame element or the main frame, while its other end is pivotally and displaceably connected with the adjacent member of the main frame or the secondary frame element, respectively, said lever being biassed by a spring tending to displace said other end in a direction corresponding to opening the window. The said other end of the lever is provided with several pins which during the opening or closing movement of the window successively become operative as the pivot point, thereby giving the lever a varying effective length, whereby the curve of the spring balancing moment performed on the frame element may be optimized and, if desired, a series of stable positions of rest for the tilting frame may be obtained.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 1982Date of Patent: February 7, 1984Assignee: V. Kann Rasmussen Holding A/SInventors: Klaus Kornerup, Per B. Christensen
