  • Publication number: 20220234574
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for removing user-specific and/or drive-specific user data which are saved distributedly on multiple controllers in a motor vehicle. A trigger apparatus is provided, and the trigger apparatus checks whether a trigger condition has been satisfied. If the trigger condition has been satisfied, a specified common delete command is transmitted to the plurality of controllers of the motor vehicle via a data bus of the motor vehicle, and each controller carries out a specified delete routine if the controller has received the delete command from the data bus, said delete routine being used to overwrite and/or delete user data saved on the particular controller.

  • Patent number: 7967455
Abstract: A method for controlling a rearview mirror, in particular for motor vehicles, provided with a reflection part with variable reflectance, includes supplying a control unit assigned to the reflection part with a nominal value for the reflectance. To provide a nominal value which is particularly favorable for the respective driving situation, the nominal value is specified by taking into consideration a first characteristic value characteristic of the sensitivity which adjusts in the viewer's eye due to the light situation, and/or a second characteristic value characteristic of the kind of ambient light.

  • Patent number: 4184839
Abstract: The roller track for moving large pipes through a tempering furnace includes two pairs of relatively closely spaced, resiliently mounted rollers disposed in the end zone of the furnace, where any portion of the pipe passing through is hot and has minimum strength on account of the heating.

  • Patent number: 4147569
Abstract: A process for heating at least two metal pipes wherein each pipe is individually preheated in response to sensors detecting its initial temperature and wall thickness. The pipe then passes through a continuous heater which applies an equal amount of energy to each portion of the pipe, after which each pipe emerges having a predetermined temperature independent of both its initial temperature and the wall thickness.

  • Patent number: 4050128
Abstract: A milling cutter rotatable about a central axis in a predetermined rotational sense has a plurality of helical blades separated by helical flutes and each formed with a row of teeth each having an axially directed end flank and a radially outwardly turned side flank. Each of the side flanks is inclined toward the axis by an angle between 3.degree. and 15.degree. from a high end at the respective end flank to a low end. Each of the teeth is further formed with a rounded chamfer at the high end and between the flanks. Each of the rows of teeth is axially offset from the circumferentially flanking rows with the rounded chamfers of each row being aligned circumferentially relative to the rotational sense behind the respective low ends of the row in front.
