  • Publication number: 20050272994
Abstract: In a method for representation of medical image information on a display medium an image representation parameter is varied dependent on the position of the observer. Superimpositions of data sets from different medical examinations are thereby displayed. The observer thus has simultaneous access to information from the medical examinations, which makes the diagnosis easier for him or her.

  • Publication number: 20050260955
Abstract: In a method for monitoring a radio-frequency power amplifier, and a radio-frequency device, and a radio-frequency monitoring device and a magnetic resonance tomography system, radio-frequency pulses are emitted at temporal intervals by the radio-frequency power amplifier, and measurement values that represent the power of the radio-frequency pulses are measured at temporal intervals. The measurement values are respectively loaded with a measurement error. Control values are respectively formed based on the sum of a number of measurement values loaded with measurement errors, and the radio-frequency power amplifier is limited in operation if and when a control value reaches or exceeds a predetermined limit control value.

  • Publication number: 20050218882
Abstract: The apparatus for measurement of a current which is flowing in an axially elongated electrical conductor at a first electrical potential. The apparatus contains at least one associated sensor element associated with the conductor that is electrically isolated from it at a second electrical potential different from the first electrical potential of the electrical conductor, and having magnetoresistive characteristics. The sensor element is intended to form a loop which is magnetically closed around the conductor in the circumferential direction, with the resistance value being tapped off at axially opposite ends. Its magnetoresistive part is preferably composed of a non-metallic powder composite material with a high magnetoresistive effect.

  • Publication number: 20050197077
Abstract: In a method for monitoring of a radio frequency power amplifier and a radio frequency device, a radio frequency monitoring device and magnetic resonance tomography system operable according to the method, radio frequency pulses emitted by a radio frequency power amplifier and are transmitted into a human subject by a transmission coil at temporal intervals. Measurement values that represent the power of the radio frequency pulses are measured at temporal intervals, and varying, predetermined power limit values are determined at temporal intervals. A control value representing the radio frequency dose emitted in a time window is determined based on a number of measurement values measured in the time window. Likewise, a limit control value representing a dose limit value allowed in the appertaining time window is determined based on the power limit values determined in the appertaining time window.

  • Patent number: 6841999
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for magnetic resonance imaging with adherence to SAR limit values, a patient is subjected to a radio-frequency pulse sequence via at least one transmission antenna and the magnetic resonance signals that are produced are acquired in a spatially resolved manner via at least one reception antenna and are further-processed for producing magnetic resonance images or spectra, with current SAR values, determined before the implementation of the measurement on the basis of patient data and the position of the patient relative to the transmission antenna for planned parameters of the measurement, being modified as warranted until the current SAR values lie within the SAR limit values. The determination of the current SAR values ensues by comparing the current measurement situation to pre-defined measurement situations stored in a data bank for which pre-calculated SAR values are stored.

  • Patent number: 6762605
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for magnetic resonance imaging with adherence to SAR limits, a patient is exposed to a radio-frequency pulse sequence via at least one transmission antenna for the implementation of a measurement and the magnetic resonance signals that are generated are acquired in a spatially resolved manner via at least one reception antenna and are further-processed for generating magnetic resonance images or spectra, with current SAR values for planned parameters of the measurement being identified before the implementation of the measurement and the parameters being modified as needed until the current SAR values lie within the SAR limits. The determination of the current SAR values ensues employing stored data that contain the time curve of the RF stressing of the patient during one or more preceding measurements, as well as information from which the temporal spacing of the RF stress of the preceding measurements from the planned measurement can be determined.

  • Patent number: 6695282
Abstract: A positioner for a valve that is actuated by means of a drive. The positioner includes a locator (9) and a control unit (13). The locator (9) detects the actual position of an actuator (7). The control unit (13) compares the actual position with a predefined desired position, and generates an actuating signal. A magnet (18) having a magnetoresistive sensor, preferably a GMR sensor, is provided as the locator. The locator (9) is less susceptible to dirt and less prone to wear and tear than a conventional slide potentiometer. The positioner is thus less fault-prone.

  • Patent number: 4950162
Abstract: A prefabricated bridge framework for producing tooth-replacement bridges consists of a support bar to bridge over a gap between teeth and connecting elements for placing the support bar on bridge pillars. The bridge framework as a whole is made of a dental alloy and is capable of being adjusted automatically to the length of a gap between teeth by changing the length of the support bar. Reinforcing ribs are provided on the bottom of the support bar. This bridge framework makes superfluous the manual construction of a wax model of a framework and the subsequent casting in metal that have been required up to now. This bridge framework is always made the same qualitatively, and guarantees that the production of tooth-replacement bridges will be considerably simpler and quicker.

  • Patent number: 4395080
Abstract: A construction set for the manufacture of frames for furniture, such as display cabinets, showcases and the like, having base profiles and enlargement profiles, wherein the base profiles have on their front viewing side a closed viewing surface and on their back side a profiled connecting edge. The enlargement profiles also have a profile connecting edge which can be connected to the connecting edge of the base profile. The enlargement profiles have, on both oppositely positioned longitudinal edges, respective connecting edges which are constructed mirror-inverted to one another and are also constructed the same as the connecting edges on the base profiles. The construction set also includes connecting profiles insertable between two closely opposed connecting edges such that the inserted connecting profile clamps together the adjacent base and/or enlargement profiles whose connecting edges oppose one another.

  • Patent number: 4138604
Abstract: To provide low contact resistance, long life, and resistance against tarnishing under corrosive, particularly sulfur atmospheres, a substrate carrier has a layer of palladium applied thereto, of a thickness between 0.5 and 5 .mu.m, preferably between 1 and 3 .mu.m, to which a coating of gold is applied which is porous and has a thickness of only between 0.05 .mu.m and 0.1 .mu.m; the porous gold coating forms islands of gold on the palladium which, in use and as the terminal is wiped against a counter element, smears over the palladium, thus effectively covering the palladium, preventing tarnishing, and maintaining low contact resistance throughout the useful life of the terminal element.
