  • Patent number: 5013816
Abstract: Particulate polymers of aromatic diols I and aromatic dihalogen compound II are prepared by(A) producing a plurality of liquid jets from a solution of the polymer by means of a nozzle,(B) causing the liquid jet to divide into particles of equal size,(C) precipitating the drops by introduction into a precipitation bath and(D) removing solvent residues and other impurities.

  • Patent number: 4840398
Abstract: A piston-cylinder unit, which erects a swingable roll bar in a crash situation by an ejection spring, includes a controllable drive by which the movement and the direction of movement of the piston can be controlled and which can be disengaged in the event of a crash pulse, whereupon the piston extends rapidly by virtue of the ejection spring.

  • Patent number: 4830402
Abstract: To economize weight, an arcuate support tube of a roll-over yoke is produced from high-tensile heat-treated material and received by both members and by part of the adjacent median region in bracing structures which mount it on the motor car body and which consist respectively of two mutually connected half-shells which positively enclose and thereby retain the support tube.

  • Patent number: 4596403
Abstract: A head restraint for a vehicle, which is supported by at least one bearing arm on a protrusion, which is arranged between the backrest and a hollow in the rear window shelf with a downward extension in the transverse direction of the vehicle, the hollow serving to receive the head restraint in its stowage position, a bracket is fixed on the underside of the protrusion for the absorption of high forces and to provide protected and elegant accommodation, a web-like middle region of which bracket receives a catch and the shaft of a pawl which interacts with the catch. The pawl is releasable via an actuating device, and the shaft serves as a bearing for at least one of the two bearing elements, connected to each other by means of a rod, for the bearing arms, the rod engaging and locking in the catch when the head restraint is transferred into the position for use.

    Inventors: Dieter Dieckmann, Klaus Matthias
  • Patent number: 4251411
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of partially dehydrated organic polymer polyol dispersions from the reaction of polyhydroxyl compounds and aqueous polymer dispersions wherein the problem of excessive viscosity is overcome by mixing the reactants with a recycled partially dehydrated polyol polymer dispersion, removing water from the reaction mixture, removing a portion of the partially dehydrated polyol polymer dispersion, and recycling the remainder.
