  • Publication number: 20220177354
Abstract: A glass has a transmittance at a wavelength of 220 nm of at least 30% and a transmittance at a wavelength of 200 nm of less than 4.0%, the glass having a total platinum content of less than 3.5 ppm. A device and a sterilizer include a light source configured to output ultraviolet light and a lamp cover covering the light source and including the glass.

  • Publication number: 20220177352
Abstract: A glass has a transmission throughout a wavelength range of from 207 nm to 222 nm of at least 60%, measured at a thickness of 1 mm. The glass is a borosilicate glass having a total platinum content of not more than 3.5 ppm, and a hydrolytic resistance characterized by an extracted Na2O equivalent in ?g per g glass determined according to ISO 719 of not more than 250 ?g/g.

  • Patent number: 6581652
Abstract: A melting tank with a batch loading channel, with a channel covering having an exhaust gas flue and a loading opening that can be closed by a loading door or flap during operation of the melting tank and the loading opening can be opened for loading the batch. Emissions and service life improvements can be achieved because during operation of the melting tank, a constant air stream is introduced into the loading channel by nozzles in the closed loading door or flap. While loading the batch, the loading door or flap is moved sufficiently far so that the nozzles are moved out of the region of the loading channel, and the loading door or flap covers the region underneath the channel covering with a suction device. A region of the loading opening underneath the channel covering is opened for a loading device.
