  • Patent number: 5884743
Abstract: A clutch plate in which the support of the hub provides for pivoting as well as radial compliance relative to the remaining components. This support is accomplished by a component, which is centered directly or indirectly on the hub plate of the load compliance, whereby the load springs can be employed for radial compliance of the hub.

    Filed: December 9, 1996
Date of Patent: March 23, 1999
    Assignee: Fichtel & Sachs AG
Inventors: Jurgen Kleifges, Harald Jeppe, Jurgen Weth, Reinhard Feldhaus, Norbert Lohaus, Andreas Orlamunder, Klaus Memmel
  • Patent number: 5722525
Abstract: Torsional vibration damper for a motor vehicle friction clutch, the torsional vibration damper having a hub with a hub disc, and cover plates located one on either side of the hub disc, which cover plates are fastened together. The cover plates can be rotated with respect to the hub disc against the force of springs by a specified amount, whereby the radial guidance of the parts which can rotate in relation to one another is provided by preferably one cover plate and a bearing element inserted in a central hole of the cover plate. The bearing element permits a limited radial relative movement of the cover plate with respect to the hub, is designed so that in addition to an axial offset, it can also compensate for an angular offset between the crankshaft and the transmission shaft.

  • Patent number: 5662200
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a clutch disc with an elastic connection between the carrier plate and the hub. The elastic connection is in the form of elastic elements, which elastic elements are fastened parallel to the axis of rotation by rivets.

  • Patent number: 5617939
Abstract: A clutch plate having a hub and hub disc which are manufactured from two individual parts, wherein the two parts are non-rotationally connected by means of gear teeth so that there is essentially no play in the circumferential direction. Either the lining carrier or cover plate or both can thereby be guided with respect to a guide diameter of the hub by means of a plastic metal friction or sliding pair.

  • Patent number: 5595276
Abstract: A clutch disc with a torsional vibration damper for motor vehicle clutches, including a hub for non-rotational mounting on a transmission shaft, a hub disc which is located on a toothed portion with a range of rotation on the hub, cover sheets on both sides of the hub disc which are non-rotationally connected to one another and one of which supports the friction linings, energy storing devices for a load damper in apertures of the hub disc and of the cover sheets, an idle damper with cover plates on both sides of a hub flange which is firmly connected to the hub, whereby the non-rotational drive of the two cover plates with respect to the hub disc is accomplished by means of axially oriented tabs of at least one cover plate which are circumferentially engaged without clearance or play in recesses of the hub disc, an axially-acting spring as a part of the load damper, and an entrained or dragged friction device located between one of the cover sheets and the idle damper, consisting of a control plate with axia
