  • Publication number: 20050060964
Abstract: The invention relates to a packaging machine (1). According to the invention, the film (11) is transported from a roll to a forming station (2), whereupon it is heated and deep drawn by a forming tool (9) to form a packaging tray. The forming tool can also contain a cutting device enabling the packaging trays (10) to be cut of the strip of film (11). The rest of the strip of film (11) is wound by means of a coil (13). The packaging trays thus produced are transported by means of the conveyor belt (14) to the filling station (4) and filled with packaging items. The filled packaging trays are then closed with a covering film (12) in an evacuation and sealing station, said covering film being used to seal the packaging trays (10). A cutting system is integrated into the sealing tool (15) and is used to cut the finished packaging from out of the covering film (12). The remaining covering film is wound by means of a coil (16). The finished packaging is removed by means of an exit strip (17).

  • Patent number: 6513358
Abstract: A method for controlling flatness of a strip (1) of rolled material rolled to a first flatness target and coiled and that is subsequently uncoiled, and a system which employs the method. Measurements of the flatness of the strip (1) during rolling are compared to both the first flatness target and to a second flatness target, a Mill Flatness Target 2. A flatness target for each of one or more subsequent processes, a Post Rolling Flatness Target (PRFT) and a measured flatness error is used to adapt a control signal for a mill stand (5) to control and regulate the flatness of subsequent production of rolled material of the same specification. The adaption may be made using different statistical techniques including fuzzy logic and neuro-fuzzy logic control methods. In the preferred embodiment, flatness measurements after decoiling are also fed forward to at least one subsequent process 12 and used to adapt control signals to regulate flatness of the current strip in the subsequent process 12.

  • Patent number: 6205939
Abstract: A buttonhole sewing machine comprises a needle thread feeding mechanism, in which the needle thread is guided over a cam disk, which performs a rotation during two stitches of the needle. Along its periphery, the cam disk has such a curvature that tensioning and releasing the needle thread complies with the requirements of alternately sewing a single thread chain stitch and a double thread chain stitch during the sewing of a zigzag buttonhole seam.

  • Patent number: 6175735
Abstract: The mobile radio communication system includes a plurality of base stations and call hand over units controlling which of the base stations services a call from a mobile station. When deciding whether to hand over a call from a first base station to a second base station, both serving microcells, the call hand over units hand the call over to a third base station, serving a macrocell, based on a duration of the call regardless of changes in radio coverage of the second base station. Also, the hand over units decide whether to hand over a call from a macrocell base station to a microcell base station based on a length of time the mobile station has been within a coverage area of the microcell base station regardless of changes in radio coverage of the microcell base station.

  • Patent number: 5806680
Abstract: A process for filling a non-self-supporting pack with cylindrical, pellet-like products by introducing into a pack closely surrounding at least one multiple-row layer of the products in such a manner that the products are arranged beside and above one another in linear contact with one another at their cylindrical surfaces and are arranged closely adjacent one another in the pack so that they fit exactly into the pack, are self-supporting, and disperse a pressure applied externally to the pack through the cylindrical surfaces of the products. The pack is brought into a transportation position wherein the products are in an upright position. A pack unit of the products is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5495931
Abstract: A method for calibrating a coin checking device includes inserting a calibrating module into a coin passage. The coin passage contains at least one coin sensor for determining a coin's physical features. The calibrating module generates measuring signals which simulate an acceptable coin's presence. The measuring signals are received by the at least one coin sensor which in turn outputs sensor signals. The measuring signals and the sensor signals are used to calculate a calibration factor for the coin checking device.

  • Patent number: 5330326
Abstract: A method for producing a profiled part from a blank, wherein the cross-sectional profile of the part to be produced differs in some portions both quantitatively and qualitatively from the cross-sectional profile of the blank, so that different amounts of material must be removed between a starting profile of the blank and a desired final profile of the part includes pre-shaping and finish-grinding the part to be produced in one chucking position with at least one profiled grinding wheel. The blank is translated and rotated relative to the at least one profiled grinding wheel during the pre-shaping step for giving the blank approximately a desired profile. The finish-grinding step is performed at least partially after the pre-shaping step for smoothing surfaces and producing the final profile to accurate dimensions. A turbomachine blade, an intermediate product for the turbomachine blade and a method of manufacturing the interim product are also provided.

  • Patent number: 5307610
Abstract: In order to be able to produce packages economically and when the package design results in undercuts being provided in a deep-drawing tool for its manufacture, a simple and practical solution for the movement of the lower parts in each of the required work stations is advantageous. These lower parts are generally vertically movable in order to be able to easily open the mold. An inclined opening of the mold or rather removal of the lower part is achieved according to the invention in such a manner that between the lower part of the tool and the lifting device for facilitating its vertical movement there is provided a carriage guide which enables also an easy horizontal movement. A guide pin fastened on the carriage guide is part of a guide system which controls a desired forced inclined guided opening of the mold. The guide system can be used in deep-drawing tools, sealing tools and similar ones.
