  • Patent number: 4524182
Abstract: Epoxidized and subsequently cross-linked esters of alcohols which are at least dihydric and unsaturated fatty acids may be used as active processing substance in polymers, in particular elastomers, at higher temperatures, in particular at higher vulcanization temperatures, than "Factice". They may be produced by a particularly elegant one-shot reaction.

Date of Patent: June 18, 1985
    Assignee: Rhein-Chemie Rhein GmbH
Inventors: Armin Bauer, Helfried Ehrend, Klaus Morche, Karl Nutzel, Michael Sauerbier
  • Patent number: 4362635
Abstract: Esterification products of monoalcohols and dicarboxylic acids, or of polyhydric alcohols and monocarboxylic acids respectively, containing 5 to 45% by weight of units of hydroxycarboxylic acids and having a ratio of carbon to oxygen atoms greater than 4.1 obtained from (a) aliphatic C.sub.1 -C.sub.14 alcohols, (b) aliphatic C.sub.4 -C.sub.18 carboxylic acids and optionally cycloaliphatic C.sub.6 -C.sub.12 and aromatic C.sub.7 -C.sub.12 carboxylic acids, and (c) lactones of aliphatic C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 hydroxycarboxylic acids. They are suitable for the preparation of lubricants and lubricant compositions.
