  • Patent number: 11744624
Abstract: Bone graft comprising cortical bone material having a screw shank with an external thread and a screw head. Screw head has an outer jacket surface which is rotationally symmetrical about a screw head axis and has an external thread. At least two recesses, which are distributed about the screw head axis, extend axially in the direction of the screw head axis and open into an end face of a free end of the screw head, for receiving an insertion tool. The recesses are each formed by side faces, which extend from the outer jacket surface in the direction of the screw head axis and merge into one another in a surface section close to the axis. By this design, introduction of an insertion torque is optimized and new surgical areas of application such as in intramedullary splinting, arthroscopic insertion and deep insertion of the graft into an bearing bone are possible.

  • Publication number: 20220096239
Abstract: Bone transplant made of a cortical bone substance having a screw shank and a screw head for introducing a screwing-in torque. Both the screw shank and the screw head are provided with an external thread, in which at least the external thread of the screw shank is a multi-start thread. Due to the design, on the one hand a certain stroke can be achieved with fewer revolutions or in a shorter time, whereby the screwing-in behavior is improved and the tendon tissue is protected. On the other hand, the use of multiple threads provides a high surface area for the tendon tissue to grow on the tendon anchor, which improves fixation of the tendon and increases rotational stability. The bone transplant according to the invention thus ensures good fixation of the tendon and can be implanted quickly.

  • Patent number: 10709486
Abstract: A bolt with an external thread and a cylindrical bolt shank made of allogeneic, cortical bone material for surgically operative osteosynthesis, wherein the external thread concerns a symmetrical angular or trapezoidal thread which has at least one thread turn per millimeter, and the bone material is formed by osteons (5) and is permeated by Haversian canals (6). According to the invention, it is proposed that the thread flanks (9a, 9b), delimiting a thread groove of the angular or trapezoidal thread merge into one another via a thread root portion (8) whose length, in an axial section of the bolt, is in the range of 0.02 mm to 0.6 mm. In this way, it is possible to produce bone screws (1) with increased strength, such that less suitable donor material can also be used for the production of high-quality bone screws (1).
