Abstract: Compounds of formulae Ia and Ib ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is C.sub.6 -C.sub.22 alkyl, phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by one or two C.sub.1 -C.sub.9 alkyl groups, or is C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl or a group of formula IIa or IIb ##STR2## or R.sup.1 is a group of formula IIIa or IIIb ##STR3## R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently of the other C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl, phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by one or two C.sub.1 -C.sub.9 alkyl groups, or are C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl, and R.sup.4 is C.sub.2 -C.sub.12 alkylene, are suitable for stabilizing chlorinated polymers against light- and/or heat-induced degradation.

Abstract: Compounds of formula I ##STR1## wherein R is --COOCH.sub.3, --COOC.sub.2 H.sub.5 or methyl, R.sub.1 is --COOR.sub.3, R.sub.2 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and R.sub.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.22 alkyl, are suitable for stabilizing organic polymers, in particular chlorinated thermoplastics, against the influence of heat and/or light.

Abstract: The compounds according to the invention correspond to the formula I ##STR1## in which R is a hydrocarbon radical, A is one of the groups --O.CO--, --O-- or ##STR2## (in which m is 0-30) and Q, depending on the definition of A, is a hydrocarbon radical, a P-containing radical, an N-heterocyclic group or a radical containing N-heterocyclic groups.The compounds according to the invention also include those which are formed by an addition reaction of an O,O-dialkyl dithiophosphate with an epoxidised soybean oil.The compounds according to the invention are very useful as lubricant additives.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula I, II, III or IV ##STR1## wherein X is halogen, OH, --OR.sup.1, --OOCR.sup.2, --OOC--R.sup.4 --COOR.sup.3 or --N(R.sup.5)(R.sup.6), or the two X groups together form a group --O--R.sup.9 --O-- or --OOC--R.sup.9 --COO--, Y has one of the meanings given for X, or it is --NHR.sup.5, --NHNH.sub.2 or --NHNH-phenyl, Z has one of the meanings given for X, or is --SR, and R, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.9 and R' are organic radicals having the meanings defined hereinbelow, are thermal stabilizers for chlorine-containing thermoplastics particularly for PVC. Their effect can be further intensified by the addition of co-stabilizers.

Abstract: The invention relates to alkanolamido-.beta.-carboxylic acid esters of the formula I ##STR1## A full definition of the above formula will be found in claim 1 of the specification. These compounds are useful stabilizers for chlorinated thermoplastics.

Abstract: Organo-tin compounds of the formula I ##STR1## wherein n is 1 or 2, R is hydrogen or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 acyl radical, X is oxygen or sulfur, and R' is C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl. These compounds are stabilizers for halogen-containing polymers. The starting materials for obtaining these compounds are also claimed.

Abstract: Organo-antimony compounds of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 acyl, R' is C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 acyl, and X is sulfur or oxygen. The compounds are stabilizers for halogen-containing polymers.
