  • Publication number: 20240132149
Abstract: A pump apparatus for an electrohydraulic power steering mechanism for a vehicle includes a hydraulic pump, a working line, a pressure generator, a first control line, a preliminary pressure line, a compensation tank, a shut-off valve having a control inlet, and a second control line. The hydraulic pump is designed to pump a hydraulic oil out of a pump chamber to a pump outlet of the hydraulic pump. The pressure generator has a pressure generation inlet and a pressure generation outlet, and the pressure generator is designed to generate, using an inlet pressure present at the pressure generation inlet, an outlet pressure which can be provided at the pressure generation outlet and is lower than the inlet pressure. As a result, a preliminary pressure can be generated in the pump chamber.

  • Publication number: 20240124053
Abstract: An electrohydraulic power steering device for a vehicle includes a hydraulic pump, a drive, a first working line, a second working line, and a heat exchanger. The hydraulic pump is designed, in a first rotation direction, to pump a hydraulic oil to a first pump output of the hydraulic pump and, in a second rotation direction, to pump said oil to a second pump output of the hydraulic pump. The drive is coupled to the hydraulic pump and is designed to drive the hydraulic pump selectively in the first rotation direction or second rotation direction. The first working line is shaped to connect the first pump output fluidically to a first working chamber, the first working chamber being suitable for moving a piston, which is couplable to a steering bar of a steering system, in a first direction. The heat exchanger is designed to transfer heat that is generated during operation of the drive to at least one of the working lines in order to heat the hydraulic oil flowing through the working line.

  • Publication number: 20240092419
Abstract: A steering system for a vehicle, in particular a utility vehicle, has at least one steering transmission, in particular a ball nut hydraulic steering transmission; at least one steering mechanism for steering at least one first vehicle wheel and for steering at least one second vehicle wheel, wherein the steering transmission is coupled to the steering mechanism; at least one hydraulic pump for supplying the steering transmission with hydraulic fluid; and at least one drive motor which is provided independently and/or separately from the traction drive of the vehicle and which is coupled to the hydraulic pump in order to drive same. In the assembled state, the steering transmission, the hydraulic pump, and the drive motor are designed as a unit.

  • Publication number: 20220153341
Abstract: A steering assistance device for a vehicle includes an input shaft for introducing a torque from a steering column of the vehicle into the steering assistance device; a torque sensor, wherein the torque sensor is configured to detect the torque introduced via the input shaft and to provide a sensor signal which represents the detected torque; an output shaft for conducting the torque out of the steering assistance device; a gear unit, wherein the gear unit is configured to mechanically transmit the torque from the input shaft to the output shaft, wherein the gear unit is arranged within a steering housing; and a drive unit, wherein the drive unit is configured to charge the gear unit with a hydraulic working medium in a manner dependent on the sensor signal. The drive unit and the torque sensor are arranged so as to be in mechanical contact with the steering housing.

  • Patent number: 5799492
Abstract: A hydrodynamic unit, particularly for the transmission line of a motor vehicle, which, in addition to a main pump wheel, also has an auxiliary pump wheel which can be frictionally connected with the main pump wheel in the circumferential direction via a coupling. The coupling, which can be controlled by the admission of pressure, is constructed in the inside torus of the hydrodynamic unit and permits the energy absorption volume of the hydrodynamic unit to be varied in order to improve the starting behavior of the motor vehicle from a stopped position.
