  • Publication number: 20090127039
Abstract: Disclosed is a vibration damper comprising a cylinder in which a piston rod is guided in an axially movable manner. A first piston (7) is mounted stationarily on the piston rod while a second piston (23) that is equipped with at least one valve disk biased by a spring assembly is mounted on the piston rod so as to be axially movable counter to the force of at least one support spring. The spring assembly is provided with at least one spring plate (39, 41) on which the spring assembly (33, 35) rests. The second piston (23) forms a structural unit along with a fixing sleeve (37) and the at least one spring plate for the spring assembly. The at least one spring plate is mounted in an axially movable manner relative to the fixing sleeve (37) and can be fixed in the desired axial position in order to adjust the bias of the spring assembly.

Abstract: Vibration damper with amplitude-dependent damping force includes a cylinder, in which a piston rod, carrying a piston, is guided with freedom of axial movement, where the piston divides the cylinder into a working space on the piston rod side and a working space on the side away from the piston rod. The piston rod carries at least part of a housing, which is mounted in the direction of the piston rod-side working space, and where a separating body is supported inside the housing with freedom to slide. The separating body divides the housing into first and second working chambers, where the first working chamber is connected by at least one radial connecting opening to the piston rod-side working space and the second working chamber is connected by a connecting channel to the working space on the side away from the piston rod. At least a part of the housing is connected to the piston rod by a weld.

  • Patent number: 6053106
Abstract: A method and a device (1) for carrying out the method of optimizing dampening agent utilization in offset printing with a container (2) for dampening agent (3), a supply line (4) to at least one dampening mechanism, a recirculation line (5) for the unused dampening agent and a detector for measuring the fill level (10), which is functionally linked to the shutoff (7) for the supply (6). Servicing is reduced to a minimum, the cleaning intervals are lengthened, the utilization of dampening agent is improved, and the amount to be disposed of is reduced in that the detector for measuring the fill level (10) is set so that, after closing the shutoff (7), it reopens the supply (6) only when the fill level (11, 18) has been reduced so that after refilling the container (2) the contamination level is not increased compared to the instant prior to the interruption.
