  • Publication number: 20240075678
Abstract: A method and an apparatus are directed to stretching plastic films. The plastic film is held at at least two opposite longitudinal sides by a plurality of holding means and the holding means are guided along stretching paths at both longitudinal sides of the plastic film. In order to increase productivity, several plastic films are held, mutually spaced one on top of the other, by the holding means and are simultaneously stretched. The holding means, in terms of their number and/or design, are constructed and arranged such that several plastic films can be simultaneously stretched mutually spaced one on top of the other.

  • Patent number: 9112400
Abstract: A method for manufacturing electrodynamic machine conductive coils, such as alternating current induction motor stator coils. A continuous strand of insulation coated wire is formed into a generally planar elongated closed loop having a circumference and an outer surface. Thereafter a permanent insulation layer is applied to the closed loop outer surface, preferably by spiral wrapping insulating tape about the circumference of the closed loop with a tape wrapping machine. The insulating tape has a catalytic chemical compound including at least one part of a multi-part epoxy resin. The closed loop is shaped into a rigid conductive coil by application pressure, in order to conform the coil to a desired profile. Application of the permanent insulation layer to the closed loop prior to its final shaping enables machine insulation taping over a larger portion of the coil circumference and reduces need for slower and more expensive hand taping.

  • Patent number: 8953008
Abstract: A method for producing images (8) on a substrate (2) with colour bodies thereon, the colour bodies losing a colour effect due to a laser (23) and consisting of dyes or pigments contained in capsules (1). Different colour bodies having at least three different colour effects are on or in the substrate (2). The method includes: (a) producing a colour chart (14), with individual colour effect of individual colour bodies contained as a function of the spatial coordinates thereof on or in the substrate; and (b) spatially resolving radiation, which opens the colour effect of colour bodies of individual capsules and releases dyes by a laser (23) at a single frequency on the basis of the colour chart (14) in order to produce a resultant colour effect. Substrates, like security documents, can be produced this method.

  • Patent number: 8896647
Abstract: A method is described for producing a character, pattern, symbol and/or image (8) on a substrate (2) by way of pigment particles (1) which are arranged thereon and lose their color effect under the action of a laser (23), wherein different pigment particles (1) with at least three different color effects are arranged on and/or in the substrate (2). The invention is distinguished by the following method steps: (a) production of a color chart (14), in which the individual color effect of individual pigment particles (1) or individual clusters of pigment particles is contained as a function of their spatial coordinate on and/or in the substrate (2); (b) spatially resolved irradiation, which changes the color effect of only individual pigment particles (1) or individual clusters of pigment particles, by way of a laser (23) at a single frequency on the basis of the color chart (14) in order to produce a resulting color effect.

  • Patent number: 8615872
Abstract: A flow measurement device and a method of manufacturing a flow measurement device having a measurement tube made from plastic or at least a plastic liner are provided. According to an exemplary embodiment, the measurement tube can be fabricated from plastic in an injection molding apparatus. Thereafter, electrical components of the measurement tube, such as electrodes and a coil holder, for example, can be concomitantly injection molded in a common, separate injection molding process. The electrical components can there be installed easier and more reliably in position.
