  • Publication number: 20040237765
Abstract: A reactive armour module (14) including a sandwich structure (16) which is enclosed by a housing (18) and which is formed by at least one sandwich surface element (20) which is angled in a roof ridge shape and which has an HE-explosive layer portion (40) between a front plate (34) and an intermediate plate (36) and which has a damping layer (42) of elastic material between the intermediate plate (36) and a rear plate (38). Preferably at least two sandwich surface elements (20) which are angled in a roof ridge shape are arranged in mutually superposed relationship turned crosswire relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 6717543
Abstract: In regard to radar guidance of a launch container (15) for fragmentation projectiles (16) for defending against an attacking missile (12), from the object (11) to be protected, the present invention affords a radar guidance system which can be inexpensively set up from existing components and which, in the absence of interfaces between the object (11) and the launch container (15), operates in a trouble-free manner if, for space monitoring and target acquisition, provided on the substructure (14) of the launch container (15) which is fixed with respect to the object, there is a planar antenna (20) which transmits its target information to a target-tracking radar (19) which is integrated into the launch container (15), for directly guiding the launch container (15) on to the approach of the missile (12) to be defended against.

  • Patent number: 5839754
Abstract: After the pressure of the gas in a first chamber reaches the maximum value, the cover for the air bag is broken up. The cover is broken at the pressure of the maximum value, and there is almost no waste of the gas energy. Thus, the cover can be broken up by the small amount of the gas energy and the heat losses are extremely reduced, so that the amount of the gas generating agents are made small. Also, the cover is broken by the burning of the first chamber and the air bag is inflated at the first stage by expansion and inertia of the gas. There is provided a mechanical timing for ignition delay, and then the bag is fully inflated by the burning of a second chamber. Therefore, the bag can be desirably inflated.

  • Patent number: 4915010
Abstract: A barreled weapon with regenerative propellant injection through the intermediary of at least one axially displaceable piston. A ring-shaped or annular cylindrical space is arranged coaxially about the weapon barrel, in effect, about the projectile or shell chamber, in which space there are arranged two mutually oppositely located, opposingly movable annular or ring pistons, whose piston shafts presently divide the space which is available behind the piston head into two selectively interconnectable loading chambers, each piston head possessing passageways which extend from the loading chambers and connect into the end surfaces of the piston heads, which are arranged offset relative to each other in such a manner so as to mutually seal off upon contacting of the oppositely located end surfaces of the piston heads.

  • Patent number: 4443773
Abstract: In a switching network in matrix form for megahertz frequency signals, including: a multilayer printed circuit board having a plurality of row signal lines located in a first plane, a plurality of column signal lines located in a second plane and extending transverse to the row lines, the row and column signal lines intersecting one another in an intersection area, control and/or shielding conductors surrounding the lines, and metal shields enclosing the planes; a crosspoint array integrated on a chip and providing a plurality of crosspoints for the intersection area, each crosspoint presenting two semiconductor switches arranged to couple a respective column signal line to a respective row signal line; and a shielded package enclosing the chip, each line is constituted by a balanced pair of stripline conductors and is terminated at each end by its characteristic impedance.

  • Patent number: 4226543
Abstract: A mixing head, specially for chemically reactive fluid components, such as two reactive liquids adapted to form a synthetic resin, has a central body which is provided with passages enabling recirculation of the individual components in one position of the mixing head and discharge of the mixture in another position. The wall of the housing in which the central body is movable is elastically deformable to effect sealing.

  • Patent number: 3975128
Abstract: A housing is formed with a quieting chamber which opens in one direction into a mold and with a mixing chamber opening in another direction at right angles to the first-mentioned direction into the quieting chamber. A pair of reactive components are introduced into the mixing chamber to form a mixture therein. Thereupon a mixing piston or plunger is shifted along this mixing chamber at right angles to the quieting chamber so as to force the mixture out of the mixing chamber and into the quiescence chamber. This piston at the end of its stroke lies with is end face flush and contiguous with a planar inner surface of the quieting chamber. Thereupon a displacement piston or plunger moves the full length of the quieting chamber so as to press the mixture from this chamber into the mold. The quieting chamber has the cross-sectional shape of a circular segment and the mixing chamber is of uniform circular cross-section.
