  • Patent number: 7995772
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for assessing interfering noise in motor vehicles, according to which noise occurring during a predefined measuring time is divided into different frequency ranges, the changes in level relative to the background noise are determined within said frequency ranges, and the determined changes in level are evaluated.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 2, 2005
Date of Patent: August 9, 2011
    Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft

  • Publication number: 20020180111
Abstract: A method and an installation for producing a film made of a thermoplastic material, wherein the plastic material emerges from a blow head of an extruder while forming a film bubble. The film bubble is sized to a predetermined diameter by the action of a sizing device and is subsequently laid flat by a flattening device and is rolled up. To prevent damage to the surface of the film bubble, there is an electrostatic charge to the plastic material forming the film bubble prior to entry into the sizing device. The film bubble is conducted through a sizing device, which is electrostatically charged in the same way, to provide a contact-free sizing of the film bubble.

  • Patent number: 4815957
Abstract: The apparatus for calibrating a tubular foil bag comprises at least two iris aperture calibrating devices and at least one segment calibrating device. The iris aperture calibrating devices are spaced from each other and each have a plurality of iris aperture leaves, e.g. sickle shape leaves, which are movable and adjustable with a positioning ring which is mounted in an iris aperture housing. The segment calibrating device has a plurality of curved segments which make up a polygonal structure, which are connected to a plurality of supporting or carrying members and which are adjustable with the aid of an adjusting lever system. The segment calibrating device is positioned between two adjacent iris aperture calibrating devices and the supporting or carrying members are attached to at least one of the iris aperture housings for the iris aperture devices.

  • Patent number: 4615666
Abstract: A blown-foil tube is flattened between a pair of frames having ladder arrays of flattening elements in respective assemblies spaced along the path of the tube. Each assembly has a wood bar element and a roller element on a pair of plates pivotally mounted on the frame so that one or the other element can be selectively presented to the tube.

  • Patent number: 4591137
Abstract: A protective covering for the piston rod of a telescoping spring element which includes a gas pressure cylinder and a piston rod. For protecting the piston rod during painting of the motor vehicle, the gas pressure cylinder is surrounded with a protective covering of sponge rubber which surrounds in a fluid-tight manner the cylinder casing and a sealing disk arranged at the free end of the piston rod. For the rapid removal of the protective covering after the painting operation, it is provided with a radially projecting tearing extension which has at its two base edges one cross-sectional reduction each formed by a longitudinal groove. The protective covering is longitudinally divided by these cross-sectional reductions, when tearing the tearing extension radially outwardly or in the longitudinal direction of the gas pressure cylinder, so that as a result thereof the protective covering then only has to be pulled off the gas pressure cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4291501
Abstract: A device for counterbalancing a swivelable body part on a motor vehicle, especially a trunk lid on an automobile, said device including a hinge for the swivelable body part and a torsion bar, the torsion bar being bent to form a crank in the vicinity of a movable hinge part. An intermediate lever is articulated on the movable hinge part and engages the crank, the crank including a crank pin between two legs, the legs being connected by arcuate segments both with the crank pin and with the torsion bar. The legs are made S-shaped so as to minimize waste, provide ease of manufacture and small installation space requirements for the crank.
