  • Patent number: 5411417
Abstract: An insulated terminal block body having a pair of electrical terminals (12, 12') connected by a conductive terminal bus bar (4) is provided with a removably connected overvoltage component (2) having a pair of parallel spaced conductive leads (8, 8') maintained by a pair of resilient members (6, 6') in frictional electrical contact with a portion of the bus bar and with a ground conductor, respectively. In a first embodiment, the ground conductor is a ground bar (5), and in second and third embodiments, the ground conduction comprises the support rail (3) upon which the terminal block body is mounted.

  • Patent number: 5171160
Abstract: A circuit board clamping assembly is characterized by connector pins (3) for the connection of the circuit board clamp to the circuit board. The clamping assembly furthermore has at least one mounting peg (8) that can be inserted in a corresponding mounting opening of the circuit board. The additional mounting peg facilitates the reliable absorption of forces, such as occur during wiring, at the conductor connections (2, 2a) of the clamping assembly and guarantees a reliable mechanical link between the clamping assembly and printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 5071356
Abstract: A modular terminal arrangement for connecting a conductor to a conductive cross bar (6), including a housing (1) formed of insulating material and arranged to transversely receive the cross bar, the housing including a terminal (2) adapted for connection with the conductor, a bus bar (4) connected at one end with the terminal and extending at its other end adjacent the cross bar, and a bridging member (7) adapted to connect the other end of the bus bar with the cross bar. The bridging member includes a pair of parallel spaced leg portions, the bridging member being displaceable between a connecting position in which the leg portions electrically engage the cross rail and extend at their free extremities in electrical engagement within an opening contained in the cross bar other end, and a disengaged position in which the leg portions are isolated from the bus bar.

  • Patent number: 4929186
Abstract: A circuit board terminal assembly includes a circuit board having a plurality of conductor strips arranged thereon and a plurality of connector and functional terminals mounted on the circuit board. The connector terminals are adapted for connection with an electrical conductor and with the circuit board conductor strips while the functional terminals are adapted solely for electrical connection with the circuit conductor strips. Thus, a functional terminal is selectively electrically connected with the connector terminals and the other functional terminals via the conductor strips. Each terminal includes on its side walls elements for mechanically connecting adjacent terminals together.

  • Patent number: 4887876
Abstract: An electrical connector or terminal block (1) is adapted for mounting on a printed circuit board or the like (2) at a position at least partially concealing a luminous diode (3), the connector containing a light-conductive member (4) that extends from the luminous diode to an exposed surface (5) of the connector, thereby to present a visible indication of the state of operation of the diode.

  • Patent number: 4813892
Abstract: A multi-pole plug connector is formed as a strip which includes a plurality of plug parts or socket parts having different respective numbers of poles; a plurality of corresponding socket parts or plug parts respectively insertable into the strip; coding elements arranged in the plug parts and the socket parts; first cooperating contours provided on the plug parts and the socket parts, and including a plurality of projections and a plurality of recesses arranged in a pattern with a predetermined pattern spacing, except in corner regions of the strip, so that the projections are normally engageable in the recesses when the plug parts are plugged into the socket parts; the corner edges of the plug parts and of the socket parts forming abutment edges of the parts, and including projection-free regions provided in the corner edges which deviate from the patterned contours so as to be purposely mismatched and nonfittingly collidable with the latter, the contours being provided with additional recesses in correspon

  • Patent number: 4746309
Abstract: A closing element for closing an electrical connector has a hood-shaped body with a first narrow end side opening and a second bordering upper side opening for selective leading out of a conductor bundle connectable with the connector, and two closing pieces foldably connectable with one edge and releasably securable to the other edge of the openings, each of the closing pieces being separable into a plurality of partial segments, so that upon the separation a passage is open for leading out of the conductor bundle; however the separated partial segments remain foldably connected with the other edge of the respective opening to form pull release or strain relief means for the conductor bundle.

  • Patent number: 4258972
Abstract: An electrical connector has a screw-clamping sleeve electrically connected to and aligned with a plug socket in an injection-molded plastic housing. To prevent a conductor inserted in the clamping sleeve from entering the socket, the housing contains an integrally molded partition which in the as-molded state extends obliquely into the recess of the housing that will accommodate the clamping sleeve. In this condition the socket can be inserted past the partition into a corresponding aperture, but the clamping sleeve when inserted bends the partition to a position between the clamping sleeve and the socket.
