One of the reflection surfaces is disposed on a member which is pivoted about a pivot axis arranged eccentrically with respect to the member. With a simple construction and a reduced number of movable elements, the image during switchover of the sight direction remains upright and similar fields of view are obtained at the same periscopic elevation as for mirrors which are not switched over.
