  • Publication number: 20210405364
Abstract: A method for influencing light beams in the interior of a motor vehicle. The light beams come from the direction of a mirror bank associated with a head-up display. Different approaches are provided for providing an enhanced display option and simultaneously reducing a dazzling of a vehicle occupant by unwanted reflections. The light beams are generated in the mirror bank, wherein some of the generated light beams are blocked in the region of the mirror bank in such a way that a particular keep-clear region is created into which reflected light beams can no longer enter, or generated light beams in the region of the mirror bank are directed without reflection onto a particular viewing region, or the generated light beams in the region of the mirror bank are polarised and only such polarised portions of the light beams that cause no or only negligible reflections exit the mirror bank.

  • Patent number: 10611300
Abstract: An interior light for a motor vehicle, having a switch for switching the interior light on and off, a lens and at least a first light of which the light beams pass through the lens and are able to provide a first light function. Furthermore, there is at least one second light of which the light beams can be coupled into at least one light guide via at least one light entry point, and can be coupled out again via at least one light extraction structure to provide a second light function. The lens can be an integral part of the light guide. In this way, an interior light for a motor vehicle can be realized, which has a switch indicator light and can be made of a very compact design.

  • Publication number: 20110204597
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety binding (1) for a snowboard, particularly a safety binding to be attached in pairs to a snowboard. The invention solves the problem of reducing force peaks on the lower extremities of the athlete, which, for example, in the event of a fall exceed a force value which can be set, and in this event also enabling a three-dimensional rotation of the lower extremities. This is achieved in that a lower binding part (2), which can be fixed to the snowboard, and an upper binding part (3), which can be fixed to the shoe, are disposed on mutually facing support surfaces in a sliding manner, wherein the support surfaces are designed as the surface elements of two spherical caps, the common center of curvature of which is located above the lower binding part.

  • Publication number: 20030028394
Abstract: A computer system and method for automatically determining a customer price permit a customer price for an order with order parameters to be determined even if such an order has previously not been made by the customer. For this purpose, a similar order is determined from a customer history and the customer price for the new order is determined on the basis of the deviation of the earlier similar order from a standard price.

  • Publication number: 20020197487
Abstract: The invention relates to a composite sheet which is used to protect displays, especially plasma displays The composite sheet is essentially comprised of three sheets. The inner sheet (1) is made of a thermoplastic synthetic material and the outer sheets (2,3) are made of glass. The individual sheets (1,2,3) are firmly joined to each other by means of a thermoplastic polyurethane film (4). The glass sheet (3) facing the display is provided with electric screening. The inventive sheet, when detached from the display, can be used in a plurality of ways owing to the construction thereof. It is light, shatterproof and offers a wide range of design opportunities.
