Abstract: An apparatus (1) for cutting up the belly of a slaughtered animal has a cutter for performing a cutting function in a cutting direction (SR), and a displacement element (5) which applies a forces on a predetermined area of the outer surface of the belly of the animal and at a distance from the cutter. The apparatus (1) further has a suspension element (40) to which the displacement element (5) is pivotally attached around an axis of rotation (28). The axis of rotation (28) forms an obtuse or an acute angle with the cutting direction (SR), so that rotation of the displacement member, oriented by the inclined axis of rotation, displaces the animal skin laterally away from the cutter.

With an apparatus as described in the present invention, there is achieved an axis of rotation (28) which forms an obtuse or an acute angle with the cutting direction (SR), and that the axis of rotation (28) forms the fulcrum for the rotation of the displacement element (5). There is hereby achieved an improved displacement of the skin and the penis.

Abstract: An apparatus for the processing/handling of the anus/rectum of slaughtered animals, comprising a cutting arrangement mounted in a housing for the cutting-over of the connection between the anus/rectum and surrounding tissue, the cutting arrangement comprising a cavity defined by a cylindrical blade with cutting edge and an extension. Displaced in the cavity, substantially parallel with the axis of the cylindrical blade, there is a mandrel/hollow profile connected to a source of a second under-pressure on the inside of the mandrel/hollow profile and for emptying of a part of the intestine/rectum. A pump is provided for handling/removal/sucking-out of a disinfection substance supplied to the cavity, the pump being separated from the source of the second under-pressure and comprising an arrangement for establishing a first under-pressure in the cavity.

Abstract: Method for fixation of cut up carcasses of slaughter hogs (3), which are suspended at their hind legs and which have been eviscerated after the cutting, during which fixation in particular the spinal column of the hog is aligned relative to the median plane of the carcass by means of a member (10) clutching the snout of the animal, said member exerting a downwards pull to stretch out the animal during the cutting of the carcass, or for processes requiring a similar fixation.
