  • Patent number: 8747592
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of repairing a fiber composite solid member having a locally deteriorated surface area, such as having cracks or creases. The solid member may e.g. be a mold for the manufacturing of wind turbine blades or such blades. The method comprises machining a surface section comprising the locally deteriorated surface area in order to obtain a recess having a predefined depth and circumferential shape, placing a repair patch having a predefined thickness and circumferential shape matching the recess in the recess, and fastening the repair patch to the solid member by use of a binder material. At least some of the elastic and thermal properties of the repair patch and the binder material are so that after fastening, the repair patch and the binder material in combination have elastic and thermal properties which are substantially the same as the corresponding properties of the surface section before machining.

  • Publication number: 20070209444
Abstract: A tension measuring device for measuring the tension in new pipes when they are being pulled through old pipes or through the ground or other surrounding material in the process of replacing old pipes or installing pipes with the no-dig technology. The no-dig technology is performed with only a very limited digging.

  • Publication number: 20050027858
Abstract: A method and a computer program product for measuring and monitoring performance in a computer network environment that includes multiple clients and one or more servers providing one or more services is disclosed. The method includes monitoring the performance at each client based on true requests send to the servers over a network connection. The performance at each client is collected at a performance monitor database, where the collected performance data can be extracted to yield the performance of e.g. specific servers or services towards a specific client or a group of clients or the performance of a connection between a server and a client. The system performance is thereby measured at the clients where the system performance is actually utilized. The present invention thereby provides a more realistic scenario of the actual system performance than prior art systems based on monitoring server performance at the servers or through simulated clients.

  • Publication number: 20030169546
Abstract: The invention relates to an electronic circuit for supplying and protecting another consuming circuit against undesirably high electrical values. The supply circuit is formed with at least 2 independent monitoring circuits performing independent measurement of an error state on the basis of a common threshold value generated from a value determined in the circuit. Recording of an error state in a monitoring circuit results in activation of at least one independent current path between the supply potential of the supply circuit and an associated reference value. This ensures that the electrical circuit increases the current through a separator circuit, which, after activation, isolates the consuming circuit from the remaining circuit. Also, the same reference value may be used for several monitoring circuits whereby tolerance deviations for components may be compensated so that a supply voltage and a safety voltage have values with a small difference.

  • Patent number: 4036523
Abstract: A child's chair comprises a pair of pivotally connected frames which are secured in an erected position by a pair of linking frames of which, at any given time, one acts as a strut and the other acts as a tie, and a seat is suspended within the frames.
