  • Publication number: 20060217990
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for organizing user provided information being available in a mobile terminal device with meta-information for allowing retrieving of the user provided information and a device being capable to perform the method. The user provided information is obtained in consequence on any user operation against the mobile terminal device and context information is obtained which is associated with the User provided information. The meta-information is obtained from the context information and assigned to the user provided information. The user provided information and the meta-information is stored in a history storage in order to establish an information history functionality. The meta-information is employed for retrieval of the User provided information by matching request information: provided with a retrieval request with the meta-information for selecting a user provided information being assigned to the matching meta-information.

  • Publication number: 20060114757
Abstract: A mass storage, an electronic multi-track reproducer, and a method to reproduce multi-track data are shown. The possibility is provided to change the reproduction medium according to present environmental conditions, e.g., to change from a text reproduction seamlessly to the reproduction of a radio play, in case environmental conditions indicate that the user is actually not capable of reading because of vibrations or illumination that is too low. To provide these features to a user, a mass storage, a multi-track reproducer, and a method for reproducing the tracks according to detected environmental conditions is provided. The invention is based on multi-track data, wherein at least a subset of the tracks is sufficient for a basic perception of the data, and at least two of the tracks are provided with synchronization markers. The reproduction can seamlessly jump between the different tracks and reproduction modes, as the tracks are synchronized by the markers.

  • Publication number: 20050122344
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for generating a compound graphic. The compound graphic is composed of a plurality of illustrating graphical elements. These illustrating graphical elements are provided by a graphical element library. The graphical element library is dedicated to a graphical subject and hence the illustrating graphical elements of the graphical element library are dedicated to graphical sub-subjects of the comprehensive graphical subject of the graphical element library. The structuring of the graphical element library provides the possibility to compose a high number of individual different compound graphics out of a limited number of illustrating graphical elements. The composing may be controlled easily even in case of employing for example an ITU-T keyboard of a mobile phone since the request for modifying the compound graphic can be limited to request exchanging illustrating graphical elements of a graphical sub-subject in a pre-defined way.

  • Publication number: 20050048954
Abstract: A plurality of users of mobile terminal device connected to a first wireless communication network with one master terminal device and the remaining mobile terminal devices acting as slave terminal devices, the master connected to a service provider via a second communication network, wherein the following steps are carried out: distributing instructional tasks from the master to the slave terminal devices via the first network, receiving responses responsive to the instructional tasks by the users, transmitting the responses from the slave devices to the master device via the first network, transmitting the responses from the master to the service provider via the second network, processing the responses and generating an evaluation for each of the responses by the service provider, and transmitting the evaluations from the service provider to the master device via the second network.

  • Patent number: 6253089
Abstract: A system for establishing a telephone connection to a portable telephone in a telephone system, comprises a telephone line connected to a base station, a plurality portable telephones each connectable to telephone line via the base station. The base station monitors the telephone line and outputs a trigger signal when it detects ringing at the telephone line. The trigger signal comprises an address or an ID for the address which addresses at least a group of the plurality of telephones whereby the telephones receiving the trigger signal starts ringing. The base station later on outputs an information signal which comprises the same address or ID for the address as the trigger signal and information about the caller, whereby the addressed telephones are provided with the information about the caller. Each of the telephones which are ringing comprises establishing a communication link from the phone to the base station when the telephone is activated as a response to the ringing.

  • Patent number: 5983110
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a telecommunications system having a switching station (BS) and a plurality of internal subscriber stations (HA1, HA2, HA3, HA4) which are connected to it and with whose aid the switching station (BS) can simultaneously operate a limited number of channels of the same or a different type and is characterized in that the switching station (BS) reports to all the internal subscriber stations (HA1, HA2, HA3, HA4) by transmitting a respective busy signal that a channel of the appropriate type is not available, each internal subscriber station (HA1, HA2, HA3, HA4) is changed by the busy signal to a state in which it cannot initiate a connection being set up on the corresponding channel.
