  • Patent number: 8610778
Abstract: A method and a device for use in calibrating a projector image display towards a display screen, wherein the display screen is equipped with a plurality of discrete light detection points on or in the front surface of the screen, or located immediately below the front surface, wherein each light detection point or groups thereof are associated with a light detector, wherein at least one image is projected towards the display screen, and wherein it is determined which image pixel or pixels of the projected image hit the respective detection point on the screen, and/or wherein brightness and/or colours in the projected image are correlated by comparing measurements at the detection points and relevant projector parameters are adjusted correspondingly.

  • Publication number: 20120038922
Abstract: It relates to a method for measuring at least one of light intensity and colour in at least one modulated image, the method comprising the steps of: a) detecting a modulation pattern of the modulated image(s); and b) synchronizing a measurement of the intensity and/or colour with the detected modulation pattern. It also relates to a corresponding device.

  • Patent number: 7855753
Abstract: A geometry correction module for a fixed pixel raster projector to project an image onto a projection surface is provided. The geometry correction module includes a receiver and a geometry corrector. The receiver collects an input pixels grid that represents an input image. The geometry corrector generates an output pixels grid representing an output image that compensates for the geometry of the projection surface by repositioning image data interpolated from at least two input pixels. The output image represents an altered input image that when projected onto the projection surface will display a correctly proportioned input image. A method of correcting geometry distortion when projecting an image is also provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 8, 2010
Date of Patent: December 21, 2010
