  • Publication number: 20010001180
Abstract: In the case of a filling pipe for a fuel tank a branching element is arranged in a section of the filling pipe. The flow of the inflowing fuel preferably runs along an outer wall of the filling pipe, so that a subflow is in each case conducted directly to the antisurge tower through a lower cross-sectional area. Larger volume flows, which completely fill the cross section, pass for the most part directly into the fuel tank. By this means, a sufficient basic supply of the antisurge tower is ensured irrespective of the volume flow produced during filling.

  • Patent number: 6158485
Abstract: In the case of a filling device for a motor vehicle fuel tank, a distributing element extends from a filling nozzle to an anti-surge tower of the motor vehicle. When there is a low volume flow of fuel in the filling nozzle, the distributing element supplies all of the fuel to the anti-surge tower. When there is a large volume flow, the greater part of the fuel passes directly into the fuel tank. It is thereby ensured that during an initial filling or emergency filling with a jerrycan, virtually all of the fuel passes into the anti-surge tower.

  • Patent number: 5836521
Abstract: A valve or nozzle device for atomizing a liquid into very small drops comprises a valve member (21) having an annular surface part (24) diverging in a direction downstream of the valve seat (32). The valve member is reciprocatingly moveable between open and closed positions. The valve member (21) is opened very rapidly by an impact member (38) driven by magnetic forces generated by a solenoid (41). The vibrating frequency is controlled by an electric control circuit so as to obtain the desired small droplets and the desired dosage. The atomizing nozzle may, for example, be used to atomize a liquid medicament or to atomize liquid fuel.

  • Patent number: 4518955
Abstract: Leakage in a conduit system is detected by means of a fluid flow detector and evaluated by means of a control device on the basis of predetermined criteria. When the control device, which may include a microcomputer has received a signal from the flow detector indicating that fluid is flowing through the conduit system the control device operates an alarm device and/or closes the fluid supply by means of a valve, if the fluid flow is condidered to be caused by a leak or break in the conduit system evaluated on the basis of the time at which the flow takes place, the duration of the detected flow, the intensity of the detected flow, and/or information about whether the fluid drains of the conduit system are closed. The conduit system may, for example, be a conduit system for supply of water or gas to apartment houses and one-family houses, but may also form parts of industrial plants.
