  • Patent number: 6628028
Abstract: A bearing supporter and stator supporter concentric with the bearing supporter and for being mounted with a stator assembly are provided on a motor base. Around the bearing supporter, lower faces of metal terminals are exposed from a bottom face of a base section. The stator assembly is fit on and fixed to the stator supporter. Further the motor base has a stator stopper protruded from the base section, and the stator stopper faces closely a lower end face of an outer wall of the stator assembly in axial direction. This structure allows a motor to be reflow-soldered to a board of an apparatus using this motor, and increases impact-resistance against radial load and thrust load applied to a radial and thrust bearings, a coupling section of the bearing supporter and the motor base, a coupling section of a shaft, a coupling section of the motor and the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6479914
Abstract: A motor includes a stator and a rotor facing the stator. The rotor has a magnet and an eccentric weight. The magnet is magnetized in a rotational direction and produces driving magnetic field. The eccentric weight is made of the material having a greater specific gravity than the magnet. The magnet shapes in a cylinder and a part of the cylinder is cut away to form a space. The eccentric weight is placed in the space. A rotational area of the magnet and that of the eccentric weight overlap each other. In this structure, rotation of the rotor spins the eccentric weight, thereby producing large vibrations. The eccentric weight is accommodated by a motor housing for the safety. The thin and compact motor is thus obtainable.

  • Patent number: 6465919
Abstract: A motor includes a rotor, a stator facing to the rotor, a motor-base-assembly for journaling the rotor and holding the stator. The motor-base-assembly is made of resin and includes a motor-base having openings and terminals made of metal. These terminals are inserted into the openings to be mated with the motor-base, and lower faces of the terminals are exposed from the bottom of the motor-base. This structure allows the terminals to be mated with the motor-base without using an insert-molding method, and permits high productivity of the motor. This advantage appears conspicuously in such a small motor, among others, as can be directly re-flow soldered to a board of a device. The device employing this motor enjoys high productivity and reliability because the motor can be directly re-flow soldered to the board of device.

  • Patent number: 6424064
Abstract: An electromagnetic vibrator includes a vibration generating mechanism; a case for containing at least part of the vibration generating mechanism; a power supply terminal for supplying power to the vibration generating mechanism, protruding from the case; an elastic body covering at least part of the case; and an elastic pressing body deformable under pressure, formed in part of the elastic body. When the electromagnetic vibrator is incorporated into a device, part of the device presses the case. Correspondingly, the elastic pressing body presses the power supply terminal toward a power supply land disposed on the device side, and the power supply terminal contacts the power supply land thereby electrically connecting itself to the power supply land. With this construction is provided a highly reliable electromagnetic vibrator and device incorporating the electromagnetic vibrator with electric connections having high vibration resistance and impact resistance.

  • Patent number: 5986367
Abstract: In a motor mounting mechanism, a cylindrical motor includes a frame (6) serving as a stator and an electric power supply terminal (2) attached to a bottom surface of a bracket (1). When the motor is mounted to a motor attachment device, a first external electrode (10) is mechanically and electrically connected to a cylindrical side surface of the frame (6) while a second external electrode (11) is mechanically and electrically connected to the power supply terminal (2). The first and second external electrodes are both located outside the motor, and thus, the process of providing lead wires for connecting the external electrodes to the printed board can be omitted, allowing the total size of the motor mounting mechanism to be reduced.
