  • Patent number: 10638389
Abstract: The subject matter described herein relates to data communication in wireless communication systems. The device determines availability of scheduled serving cell before data communication and informs a device the determined availability of the scheduled serving cell. Depending upon the determined availability, the device is controlled to perform the data communication on the scheduled serving cell or another available serving cell. In this way, the unfinished data communication, for example, retransmission of a data block in an uplink or downlink HARQ process can be continued on an available serving cell, whereby avoiding large transmission delay and throughput loss in the wireless communication system.

  • Patent number: 9980243
Abstract: Systems and techniques for synchronization between in-coverage and out-of coverage user devices. A base station configures in-coverage and out-of coverage synchronization signals and configures user devices to recognize synchronization signals as in-coverage or out-of-coverage. • Patent number: 9955501
Abstract: The subject matter described herein relates to scheduling enhancement in wireless communication. A scheduling grant including an indicator can be generated, for example, at the base station (BS). The indicator included in the scheduling grant identifies multiple carriers to be scheduled with the scheduling grant. Upon receiving the scheduling grant, a device, for example, UE can recognize the multiple carriers scheduled with the single scheduling grant, and can detect corresponding data transmission in the multiple carriers accordingly. Compared with scheduling each carrier with independent scheduling grant, the proposed solution saves control signaling overhead, and thereby alleviates the problems caused by control signaling capacity limitation, and increase peak data rate and system throughput.

  • Patent number: 9819459
Abstract: The subject matter described herein relates to measurement enhancement in wireless communication. A device informs other devices about the time period during which a channel will be occupied by its transmission, if the device determines to transmit on the channel. A set of occupation time periods can be defined, and then the device can indicate one of the defined occupation time periods to other devices. Upon detection of the indication of the occupation time period, other devices get to know that the channel will be unavailable in at least the indicated time duration, and thus can avoid unnecessary channel sensing or measurement in this time duration to save power.
