    Abstract: A method controls operation of one or more ventilation fans of an air-cooled condenser for condensing exhaust steam from a steam turbine of an electric power plant. The steam turbine powers an electric power generator. The method includes the following steps: An ambient temperature is acquired and a parameter indicative of the power output of the generator is measured. A fan operation state is determined based on the acquired ambient temperature and the measured parameter. The fan is operated in accordance with the determined fan operation state.
